Best Bahu

I would have to say Leela since it has been shown that she is a very beautiful woman and is from a rich family, but she has adjusted very well with the Thakkars as well as Arvind. Even though sometimes one does see that she regrets or believes she could have been better off if she didn't marry Arvind but that just shows the realistic nature of her character. Otherwise, she has been a loyal bahu as well as a loving wife!
But others also are very good bahus, love all of them!

I would have to say Leela but all the other bahu's are great too! Although she came from a rich family that does not change how she feels, thinks, and cares for the Thakkar family or even Arvind. In some situations she does feel as if she had done the wrong thing by marring Arvind but that is just the way her character is put in to place. Overall I think Leela was/is doing a great job of being a great bahu and loving wife. All the other Thakkar bahu's are great too, love all of the bahu's! 😊

ill go for Shilpa for her practical nature.

Yarr abb Baby ko bhi add karne ki adat dal hi lo...akhir kisi na kisi ki bahu toh hai na. For now Leela.

i wud say shilpa as she is the most sensible of all bahus

Gudia is a alright addition to BBB. But as a good bahu, it's a personal taste of who you called a good bahu.

To me these points makes a good bahu:

(1) The one who respects everyone in the family (big and small). By respect: I mean in terms of both body language and speech. If some family member for whatever reason does not like few of her decisions then she would not be rude or show her superiority but instead share the views. Typically she should be able to convince what she is doing.

(2) Secondly, By bahu there are so many cultural things which start to associate. It's difficult to say a lady living in western lifestyle (going at work 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri. giving her baby to baby carers and home work done by servants or elderly and during weekends also not much in home because of shopping and parties). To me that is not a bad bahu...but the ideal one would be who looks and works the Indian way. (By the way Bahu is an Indian concept). So one who wears saree looks really very good...I personally feel women look really good in saree....than jeans...in jeans they look like.....ok forget that...well I don't wear jeans as well !) It's just personal choice and I am not opposing any way of living!

So keeping those things in mind....Gudia is out easily since she does not wear saree (does not give Gujarati feel, but anyway she is not Guj) and also she is quite impulsive....she acts quickly before thinking.....wait there is more.....her body language is like the one who is so proud...there is not much innocence in her face....(if you want to imagine innocence..think of Rupali).....what else....not just the body language...her speech is sharp most of the times..she might be right but there is a way of delivery of speech.....and it's a skill to make others realize your point....but Gudia tends to challenge others most of the times......

Meenakshi is good in every aspect....but since she is younger than others she is shy to speak to say Pravinbhai or Baa's problems. Praveena could not be THE ideal bahu..since she also tend to be casual in way she spoke....Old Leela is really close to ideal bahu, but as far as I can remember at times she was not able to make a point across...so there were divisions in the house......New Leela's character is still developing so cannot make comments...

So to end this story here...the best bahu award goes to Shilpa bhabhi....
Reasons:
(1) She is a doctor but still has no western influence (she wears saree and looks good)
(2) She makes a point across very clearly...and many times everyone agrees to her
(3) She never supports what she thinks is wrong..let it be Gudia's entry, Hemal's affairs etc
(4) She has lived in London but still is veg and is against bring eggs at home..she makes homemade breads...in short she keep the home rules intact....whereas Leela and Praveena had broken that rule earlier. Forget Gudia she breaks the rule intentionally.
(5) She has never spoken to elder/kids rudely. (possibly everyone except Hemal and Meenkashi has spoken rudely including Harshad)
(6) Her character is a like an ideal bahu...

OK, Now I am going to Sukh by Chance forum and spend 5 minutes there and then go to BBC to read the Haiti earthquake news....that was sad..

good points, yeah but ideal can be boring at times, praveena & leela stood out. i actually liked all 4 originals, they were all different and unique in their own ways & not over the top. i am really hating gudia these days, what an over actor, i h8 it wen she says Aho AHo, just doesn't fit her and she makes very stupid expressions. in the beginning, 07 episodes she was very different. and i am really hating what she's doing these days especially in todays episode. now clearly, gudia will argue (from precap) and baa will say ok and problem solved. its very wrong. gudia needs to be taught a lesson, shouldn't make big decisions like that. i really hope that the actress playing her gets another show & leaves bbb, hehe, also wid rhimjhim & jigar. hahaha.

and some1 was saying this is just drama, don't watch it if you don't like it. it's true its a drama, but the actors are real people, it's their job. they get paid & get to keep their job as long as serial is running & people are watching. if people stop watching they would all loose, so i think they want us to tell our opinions of stories because it matters to them. they work hard to bring it to us & to satisfy us. just like the 2006 fight & saumils death was changed because of viewers request.

and javyed, just wanted to ask you, you said that every character spoke rudely to elder except hemal & meenakhsi. i can't remember when subodh or harshad or leela did it, do you know when they did it?

By rudely, I meant not sincerely.....
In fact Subodh has been sincere and gentle all the time except recent time when he broke that record...he said to Baa she's mentally ill...

Harshad bhai have fought against Baa in past...not literally fought but he really had a good stance...He actually never fought for himself..he fought for kids...whenever there was a issue Baa have decided not to take part in the event (like festivals, or birthdays) so everyone learns a lesson...But then Harshad bhai used to argue that it is their mistake...they have all admitted but why should kids suffer and not celebrate the festivals..

Leela bhabhi actually never have stood against Baa literally, but with Praveena she used to play tricks...but I would not say...that Leela bhabhi was like Gudia....zameen aasman ka farakh hay..

In short, Harshad bhai and Leela bhabhi can be barred from that list...they have nearly always been very good.. in character..it would say exceptional..even Subodh but his had a recent downer..but I still like him..
