This thread was started by Prabha, but it became a bit cluttered with news/articles/videos all over the thread, so the first post is being edited by Visrom.
Adding an index to post 1, so that people can find information easily.

Thanks.

Aditya Srivastava did a six-year stint at Delhi's Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts before coming to Mumbai in 1995. Since then, he has acted in Govind Nihalani's Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, Ram Gopal Varma's Satya and Mani Ratnam's Dil Se, among a host of other films. His haunted, edgy performance in Black Friday apart, Aditya is most recognised for his TV series CID.

Is he from theater background? how did he start his career? Which was his first film/serial? Has he worked on TV apart from CID? Details like that. If anyone know please tell me. Thank you.

I read in some article a few months back...that he is indeed married (any broken hearts here????? ๐Ÿ˜‰) and has a daughter. (The article was quite outdated, so he may have had another kid after that.)
The article also mentioned that he cooks well.
Aditya had said in the article that he doesn't want to do any other serial, as he prefers doing films. But he is attached to CID emotionally, so he is continuing. He had also mentioned that he spends 20 days a month doing CID, so he has no time for anything else and that's why we see very less of him outside.

I was not a member of IF at that time, so I couldn't post it here. I searched for the article after I became a member, but couldn't find it. It was in a pink background site which looks like Economic Times  website...I am unable to find it, despite being a professional.

Aditya Srivastava started his film career by playing the Late Phulan Devi's husband in Bandit Queen. He then met B.P. Singh, who tried him out in Aahat. Then he came into CID.

I have very vague memories of having seen Aditya Srivastav in a serial called '9 Malabar Hill' (on Zee TV) along with Renuka Shahane. He played the role of a fisherman (wearing triangular lungi and stuff). This was in early 1998 or so, before he entered CID. When I saw him as Abhijeet in CID, I recognised him as the guy in the other serial. Actually my mother used to watch 9 Malabar Hill.  I've never seen Aditya in any other serial on TV.
Anyone remembers this serial??? Maybe many of you were toddlers then ๐Ÿ˜Š
