Part 4

Nupur was alone at home MM had left for Delhi she was feeling very lonely she kept herself busy by doing some work when the phone rang.

Caller-Is this Sharma Residence

N- yes who is this

C- I'm calling from LifeLine Hospital

Nuprs heart started beating faster

C- I have called to inform you that Mr.Mayank sharma have met with an accident he is in emergency please reach as soon as possible

For a moment the world spinned around her she was shocked & numb

C- Hello Maam plz hurry up

N- yes I'm coming

She rushed to the hospital the whole way she kept thinking about Mayank how he would be ? in what condition he was soon she reached the hospital enquired about Mayank at the reception & rushed to the emergency .There she saw Mayank lying in a pool of blood his white shirt had turned red tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably.

N- Doctor kya hua hai Mayank ko wo theek tou ho jaayega na

D- I'm sorry to say But injuries bohot deep hai aur bohot khoon beh chuka hai jab tak unka blood group kisi se match nai hota hum kuch nai kar sakte Mayank ka blood group A+ve hai agar aap ke paas kisi ka

N-(cutting him) mera blood grp A+ve hai aap mera khoon le lijiye

D- Ok aap mere saat chaliye

Nupur had given him two bottles of blood she became weak .

The doctors tried their best he had a deep cut on his chest,his arm & forehead. After a while they completed the surgery.The doctor came out

N- kya hua doctor Mayank ko hosh aaya kya

D- hum ne poori koshish ki ab sab upar wale ke haat mein hai just keep trust in God

There was a small Idol in the hospital Nupur ran & knelt down on her knees & cried

N- hey Bhagwaan please Mayank ko theek kar do wo jaisa bhi hai mera pati hai aur mai uss se bohot pyaar karti hoon wo hi meri zindagi hai plz mujhe mere pyaar se alag mat karo mujhe mera Mayank lauta do mai uss ke bina nai ji sakti

She sat there on her knees for hours begging for Mayank's life.The doctor came from behind & told that Mayank will be alright just give some time & if you want you can go & see him but he is still unconcious.

Nupur rushed in towards his room Mayank was lying on the bad motionless with so many wires attached to him she ran towards kissed his forehead she took his hand in hers & weeped Please Mayank aankhein kholo .

The doctor entered he told Nupur Mayank's condotion is improving you better take rest you have given two bottles of blood don't worry he will be alright you eat well & get a sleep .The doctor left Nupur was not at all feling hungry she didn't feel like eating anything she just had some juice & took the vitamins

She kept a chair near the stretcher on which Mayank was lying & rested her head on the bed after some time she fell asleep .

Though she was in deep sleep on hearing Mayank's small cry of pain she woke up.

M- (murmured) where am I & what is all this

Nupur had tears of happiness in her eyes as Mayank gained consciousness.

N- you are in the hospital you met with an accident

Mayank remembers that he was drunk & was driving roughly.He tries to get up but couldn't.

N- don't you dare move an inch just lie down.

I'll call the doctor

D- he'll be fine now just let him sleep

Next day

The doctor came for checkup he gave Nupur some prescription

D- give him this medicine & let him take complete rest for speedy recovery

N- thanks doctor

Nupur goes & brings the medicines.

Mayank tried to getup but in vain,Nupur could see him struggling

N- wait Mayank I'll help you

She placed her hand around his neck & helped him to sit right Mayank took support of her shoulder to get up she was very close to him her touch sent chills run down his spine

M- (controlling his feelings) look you don't have to do this for me I'm Ok

N-(scolding him) just shutup Mayank first of all Maa is not here just do as I say

Mayank takes his medicine she makes him lie down

Nupur's cell buzzes

N- Namaste Maa

MM- Namaste beta kaisi ho

N- mai theek hoon maa aap kaisi ho

MM-acha beta sun mai ne yeh batane ke liye phone kiya hai mujhe yaha 2 weeks aur lagenge kuch zaroori kaam hai Mayank kaisa hai

N- Maa wo Mayank ………..

Mayank holds her hand & gestures her not to say anything about the accident as he didn't want to trouble her

N- wo theek hai Maa

MM- theek hai beta take care

N- bye Maa apna khayal rakhna

MM-bye beta

Nupur turns towards Mayank & says Maa ne kaha unhe kuch din aur lagenge koi zaroori kaam hai

M- acha hai mai tab tak theek ho jaaunga mai Maa ko pareshan nai kar sakta

Nurse – (giving an ointment to Nupur) doctor has asked to apply this ointment on his small cuts.

She left.

Mayank had small cuts on his neck & chest .

Nupur went towards Mayank

N- wo……….. Mayank yeh ointment lagana hai

She sat beside him & slowly applied the ointment on his wounds on his chest her touch gave him goosebumps she moved closer to him & applied the ointment on the side of his neck this time she was very close to him he could smell her fragrance which was driving him crazy Even Nupur was feeling uncomfortable suddenly Mayank yelled

M- Ahhh … it was paining him

Nupur had tears in her eyes seeing his pain .

Mayank couldn't see this ,he didnt knew why but her tears hurted him more than his wounds he lost control he lifted up her face brought his face close to hers & kissed the lone tear which rolled down her eyes. Nupur felt her heart skipped a beat he caressed her cheek with his warm fingers.

Nupur turned red Mayank just realized what he had done

M- (moving back)Thanks Nupur for whatever you did for me don't worry I'll be alright.

N- (getting up ) you take rest

N- (thinking) Yeh achanak kya ho gaya Mayank ko………. pehle tou khud hi mujhe aansu deta hai aur ab khud hi……. Shayad wo sirf thanks kehna chahta tha

Nupur took very good care of Mayank he was recovering soon .Mayank couldn't understand why she cared about him so much even after he had hurted her so much & why he was getting attracted to her & started falling for her .

After a week he was discharged from the hospital but he was advised rest.
