Anushka Sharma chosen over Deepika Padukone !!

Anushka Sharma entered Bollywood in a grand way starring opposite SRK in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. She has also signed another film opposite Shahid Kapoor to be directed by Parmeet Sethi. Now the actress has taken a step closer to success by replacing Deepika Padukone in a commercial for hair oil. Grapevine has it that Parachute have shot their new commercial with Anushka and the ad will hit the small screen soon.

Deepika was replaced because of her high price. She had signed the brand long before she shot to fane with 'Om Shanti Om' and now her prices have naturally gone up. So, the company opted for Anushka instead.

The girl is being paid good money and so she is taking it. I don't see what "egoism" has to do with it?

You are absolutely right. These female actors and their "egoism". Uff! they should always work for Peanuts and never ask for more money. That is the prerogative of male actors who gets paid 4-5 times more for same work.

Sorry Can anyone show me where have I mentioned about the money !! I only said that with one or two hits they start to over react because they think they have become more famous !! One says something then with out thinking all start replying on the same thing !!So many other Male actors and Female actress have lost their contracts of commercials to less famous due to their own fault and due to their egoism !! I am not bashing anyone here like others do !!

So what exactly has she done that you are calling "egoism"?

Egoism is when some one tries to see himself or herself beyond what they are !! Friend when they charge very high price for Ads we consumers have to pay !! The companies have to recover their money from us !! I donot wish to carry on with this unimportant issue so I opt out too !! Thanks !! Deepika was replaced because of her high price. and how does THIS show ehr egoism? she has two blockbusters to her name(accept it or not but it is the truth)...ofocurse her price will increase

These companies know what they are doing. Other companies are willing to give her that sum for the endorsements Deepika does - and so she does those endorsements. Maybe for Parachute it doesn't make good business sense and so they took on Anushka. When Anushka becomes more successful and then I am sure she will also start charging more.

I fail to see how "ego" has anything to do with it. These actors/actresses are not endorsing products for charity. They do it to earn money, so it is obvious that they will endorse those products which offer them more money.

And how will the consumer suffer if the star is given more money to do the ad? I don't think Link Pens increased the amount they charge for a pen, when SRK started endorsing the brand.

If you want to opt out of the argument that is your call.
