This song was sung by Dilip Kumar with Lata to Salilda's music for the movie Musafir. This movie had three short stories and the main character was the rental property. It tells the poignant stories of the three different renters that occupied the space at three different times. Not only was this song a ground breaker, but the movie was very unusual and daring for those days. Dus Kahaniya's director must surely have been influenced by this film. The other song from this movie that was a big hit was Munna Bada Pyara Ammi Ka Dulara sung by Kishore Kumar, who also acted in one of the stories.Dilip Sahab singing style seems very influenced by Saigal or CH Atma.
