Sorry, but I have a silly question. Exactly what purpose do the non musically trained guest judge serve on the show? Very often they are not well versed in sangeet and their comments is always good simply because they don't know better.
What did the contestants gain from saif, deepika, priyanka, shahid, govinda etc etc? in terms of improving their rendition. We the audience got some entertainment if they went on stage and danced. Well, I suppose some of the contestants got the potential to get married😆. And they channel getting higher trps because more people will tune in to catch a glimpse of the celebrity.
Personally, I just fast forward the downloaded video to my fave contestants and just watch their performances. I skip everything else.

I have'nt seen the present "musically trained" mentors dish out any quality advice to the contestants. We don't need "musical experts" just to give comments like - "beta, soor ke taraf dhyaan do..." etc. Anyone having basic knowledge and understanding of music can identify where a singer has gone 'besura' or where he has missed the taal. I heard that Yatharth and Prateeksha are in bottom line....Swarit is safe....Hope Zee (Awww) is right. But somebody told me it was Prateeksha not Swarit.
