After Friday's episode, I think Singhania's are a dysfuncional family. Akshara's parents forgot to see whether the two families were compatible.

The Singhania's are so... egocentric, short tempered and ill mannered. They have no respect for others, no space for compromise, and dont know how to welcome a new member of the family. On Friday in the kitchen the way Bhabhi Ma and the cook humiliated Akshara was extremely objectionable. They overlooked her sincere intentions and enthusiasm and insulted her infront of everyone - simply because she wore her slippers in the kitchen in the 21st century. Absolutely un-believable! Again during dinner, the way Daddaji was tasting the food, with everyone's eye on him for his approval looked so crude ... And finally Naitik leaving the dinner table abruptly in the presence of elders, simply because he didnt know about the job refusal was absolutely unpardonable and showed lack of manners. (I hope the teenage viewers dont think that such behavior is OK). Surprisingly, the modern sister-in-laws are not much of a help too. The only sensible person looks to be Naitik's father, but he is so afraid to voice his opinion, and has no say on his son (strange!!!).

During Akshara's stay at sushral, I guess 85% of the time she has faced this rude behavior and her stay has been like ' W' graph. I wonder, how is she going to continue her life like this ? Should she follow her Daadi's sophisticated/ polished advice, or take her Nani's 'Might is Right' approach? After all this is the year 2009.

i totally agree with you.....what kind of family are they seriously.....they are showing them to be abit to much overthetop........and way to strict with to much rules...i know personally i would go crazy in a nutcase family like them....lol....

No I think they are fine. They are just a bit too sanscaari! Akshara is just getting used to everything. It'll take time for both parties to develop with each other. Everyone has faults after all! I think NAKSH are the awesomest couple in a long time!

the singhania's r just more sanskaari and they pay heed to even the minutest details and wants everything to be perfectly done.
there is nothing wrong in that.well akshara was told by reshmi that they r not allowed to wear shoes inside the kitchen. akshara forgot it.😲(bad luck)
rajshekar has voice but he din't say it to naitik becoz he knew his son wuld get sad .
well mother's have their own way to make their children understand the fact without getting dejected.

Poor Akshara has to work real hard to tame this family, and read their minds. Good luck to Akshara!

This family is really a strict family, but they love each other. Akshara will get used to all of their traditions and then she will be fine. I don't think anyone is purposely insulting Akshi. I am sure that Gayatri and Bhabima went through the same thing when they were brides😊

Agree the family is strict. But I guess they should not compromise good manners as apposed to being strict. I find them very crude. Ofcourse, this is my opinion - sorry if I offended anyone.

well i find everybody in this serial almost similar...the 2 families more or less follow the same traditions..the only difference is that they're more relaxed in Akshara's house ..you will never find that kind of atmosphere in ur sasural which u find in ur parents house....akshara will take some time in adjusting to this new life....when Naitik's family was introduced, it was pretty evident that Akshara will have a tough time after marriage......and whichever incidents they showed in b/w made it more obvious...like they always said that they never bring any outside food , bhabhi ma is very strict with pooja riturals, Daddaji is strict with everything.....

what happened with Akshara is the kitchen is just a trailor....she'll have a hard time ahead but she'll win over them eventually.....when they don't spare their own daughters then how can we expect them to relax their rules for akshara? they make their own children follow these rules and regulations..except Naitik of couse....but Daddaji doesn't pamper him the way the ladies do...so he has to abide by them...I'm not saying that they're not wrong, but they're like that and Akshara cant change it

she will definately adjust we know that but will she be able to change the parampara's a little bit so that even she feels comfortable n relaxed n not be scared all the time.will she be able to make a place in everyone's heart just like the naitik has so that her mistakes will also be overlooked as his.

afterall we all are humans galti kar-kar ki sekhte hai.
