Update - September 10 - Menaka's Life

Menaka is still thinking about her past - she is off in space. She picks up Janki's sari and kangans and mangal sutra and wants to hold it up to herself looking in the mirror.

While she is looking at herself in the mirror, her alter ego talks to her saying that she made a big mistake - that she gave up the opportunity to marry Dharam stating that he wasn't rich enough for her, and then look now, he has become one of the biggest businessmen! She always makes the wrong choices, and her sister now has what she wanted after picking up her left overs!

Janki comes and sees Menaka with her things - Janki doesn't over-react, but calls out to Menaka. Menaka takes off everything in a hurry and when Janki puts her hand on her shoulder, Menaka pushes her away.

Janki tells Menaka that she's her sister and she understands that every woman wants to be married, and to have colours and sindoor in their lives. She understands her pain and thinks that Menaka should marry again. Menaka lashes out at her saying that she is fine by herself and doesn't need anyone.

Menaka is sitting by herself and thinking of her past - she got married to a rich man, but he died just two months after they were married. He had cancer, but she didn't know this when she married him. They show Menaka having her sindoor off, and breaking her bangles. She then thinks to herself telling her mother in law that she wants her portion of the house and money - that she has a right to it. Then mother in law scolds her saying her husband has been only gone two months, and she's thinking of money. They kick her out of the house, and Menaka says she will fight for her rights.

Menaka returns home and her father is upset with her - he says if she had stayed quiet, she could have lived in luxury in that house and got all that she wanted. But, she had to open her big mounth and ask for her rights. Now, she has nothing. And, she will not win if she fights against rich people like this. Her father says she was always greedy for money and it has lead to her making bad decisions - including turning down Dharam's proposal.

Menaka lashes out at her father and says that she doesn't need anyone to take care of her now, and she will work to feed herself and take care of herself.

Rani comes home late from work, and Payal asks her about work. She says she had an emergency at work and had to stay. Rani asks for Rajini, and Payal says she still has not come home. Rani says she will wait to eat with Rajini so that she does not have to eat alone. Payal seems a little tiffed, but Rani pacifies her and says that Payal does so much work around the house, and should go and get some rest, and Rani will take care of the food.

Late at night, Rajini and Jai come home and Rani and Rishabh are playing cards waiting for Rajini and Jai. Ranjini apologizes for coming late and Rani says it's okay - they will all eat together. Rajini is touched that Rani has waited for her.

At the dinner table, Rani, Rishabh, Jai and Rajini are having a good time. Payal comes to the stairs and hears this - she gets upset that Rani has to wait for so late for Rajini to come and that this should not happen again.

In the morning, Payal finds Rani in the kitchen making a tiffin for Rajini. Payal asks that Rani has to wait up for Rajini for so late and didn't her food get cold? Payal says she could have heated it for them. But Rani again tells her that she works so hard during the day, and she should be able to rest as well. They were okay to heat the food at night!

Rajini comes and asks to help with work, but Rani says that she and Payal will take care of everything and Rajini should go to rehersals. Rani takes Rajini out of the kitchen to the door, and Payal looks upset.

Rani is trying to pacify Payal by stressing that she does a lot of work and getting her to take rest, but Payal is so bothered by the past and the happenings between her and Janki and Thaiji, that she can't see that right now.

I really hope they don't make Payal negative!
