MM Selvam comes home - accompanied by periappa. Park maama is
concern personified -"Selvam, dr enna sonnar??" Before the couple can
answer , Periappa orders Archu to herd hubby inside. Archu obeys.
Lanka Rakshashi (LR) Bhagyam comes - all docile , sari yai izhuthu porthindu,
habbaaa mariyaathaaiyaaammmm hmmm - Park mamaa wants her to
invite periappa inside. Periappa is livid. Does not even want to talk to
LR - shouts at Park maama -" Selva is unwell, U cant take care of him?
enna da appan nee??" Park maama has no qualms - anavasiya ego ellam
illai - " enna anne, na sambathikkarenaa?? LR kitte ketten,neriya panam
irukku, aana kudukka matten nnu sollitta.." Periappa santhadi sakkule
sindhu padi tells Park maama that he is neither a good hubby nor a good
dad. LR invites Periappa inside after some goading from Park. Periappa
thanks her for descending from her pedastal and addresses her directly.
" unakku manasakshi irukka??? ( enna periappa , neengalumaa??? yaar
kitte enna kekkaringa?? kusumbu thaane??) Un pillaiya iruntha ipdi iruppiya?
If any of u were sick like this, will Selvam keep quiet?" LR keeps quiet but no
remorse ( Rojaaaa et tu???) Periappa goes on " Your son got caught in the
police after that dosai maavu adulteration, remember?? Who do you think
arranged for the politician to intervene??? Your azhagana hubby?? noooo,
It was Selva who helped....." LR narrows her eyes ( park maama..deepavali..
deepavali...deepavali vanthaachu... BG by Roja) If any of you think that she is
moved by this news.... go and fly kite...she is all set to take Park for a free ride on
the roller coaster. Periappa finally asks LR to "behave herself" and leaves.
Archu and Selva are inside - park maama comes and kusalam vicharichifies -
"doctor enna sonnar?? I am not able to help you in any way....mannichuduppaa.."
Archu says that it is a viral fever and Selva has to rest a lot. Park mama says that
Archu's father came to invite them for Kavya's nalangu -" he came and I told him
that u both are away. He tried to call you but u left your mobile in the shed. He
waited for a while and had to leave. I told him that I will inform you..." Park mamaa leaves. Archu asks Selvam to lie down and rest. Selva as usual does not want to
think about himself ( Rojaaa, antha MM nick kuduthiye..athu 100 % correct....

" I am sick..how are we going to attend the nalangu?? And, we need to give some gift
for the wedding.. nalangu kku kooda yethanum kudukkanumaa??" Archu says that only people who attend the functions need to give gifts " we are not going for any thing.."
Selva says that all the issues are sorted out now and why does she rake up old issues? " They have come personally to invite and our names are in the invitation..now what??"
Archu, the mind reader, says that all those things are done for the sake of others -
"mathavanga pesuvaanga nnu koopiittanga.... not that they love us..so,we wont go"
Selva has an argument which can drill some sense but Archu can make her head
drill proof if she wants !!! " If u do not attend the wedding, people will think that
you are jealous of Kavya - thangai kki nalla panakkara edam kidaichuduthu nnu
unakku poraamai nnu ellarum pesuvaanga. I do not want such a bad name for you,
so we are going for the functions.." Archu asks him to rest. Selva manages to have the
last word " you are twice your mom..pidichaa thalai le thookippe...pidikkatta kizhe
pottu mithippe.." ( athukku enna theriyuma per?? vaicha kudumi..vazhichaa mottai-
no via media ) Archu says that genes get passed on to the next generation.
Kavya is at work - recalls her sister asking her to meet Dilipan . Calls Dilipan
who is driving and tells him that she wants to have tete e tete with him -
"have some thing important ..can u meet me?? at our usual garden restaurant?"
Dileepan happily agrees. As Kavya is about to leave Sori calls. Wants to take
her out -" disco...restaurant... jolly aa polaam vaa." Kavya is caught off guard
but manages to tell him that she has to go the temple along with mommy -
"some venduthal..pogatta...samy kutham...sorry..sorrii" ( enna da confusion
ithu?? Roja kku Sorry, sori ellam ore mathiri kekkarathu..) Sori is unhappy
but agrees to let her go to the temple. Asks Kavya to give him some thing..
( palaar palaar nnu naalu arai?? game?? Sori??) but Kavya says that she
would much rather wait until the noose goes around her neck. Sori kisses
the phone and hangs up. Kavya heaves a sigh of relief and leaves.
Restaurant - as luck would have it, some compere from one of those innumerable
channels is doing some program there - ( oru camera, thooka rendu aal,
Tanglish le pesara oru compere - joot, channel aarambichudalaam !!)
Kavya walks in while Dileepan is already there - it is highly possible
that Kavya got caught in that camera. Goes to Dileepan and orders coffee.
Dileepan is excited about her call - " the only person to whom I could
share all my feeling is you. But ever since your marriage got fixed, I
avoided getting in touch.. lest your marriage gets jeopardized. I am so
glad that you called me..like old times.." Kavya says that he made her job easier-
"exactly what I wanted to discuss. Sori is very possessive. When u talked
about my dislike for Chinese food and when u fought at the pub... he is
unhappy. Asked me as to why you were so bothered!!! So, it is better that
u keep off .." Dilip says that he never had any ulterior motives " those
incidents just happened... i did not plan to create any trouble for you !!"
Kavya says that she understands him perfectly but Sori is different --
" so even if u see me in any public place, play third person, ok??"
Dilip asks about talking to Sori but Kavya says that she can handle him.
Well well, Sori arrives...Kavya sees him first and frets. Asks Dilip to leave
but he says that he can stay and clear Sori's doubts. Kavya spills the truth
- " he called me and i told him that I am going to the temple with my mom !!
so scoot..." Sori... Dilip...Kavya..
