"You can never break their relation…she's getting married to him Shlok?" she said n he stopped at his track

"Pragya please….I may have crossed my limits as per what you think, but I cannot do anything to them…believe me they are my friends" his voice calm

"Shlok please I beg you…..leave them alone, she cannot be with you all the time…." she cited

"She has her own life…..her commitments to Nihaal, n you know that you have to let her go soon" as she was saying all this to him, she could notice blankness in his eyes with the mere realization what it actually means

He walked through the corridor slowly, thinking about what Pragya just said to him….n how true it was, that he has to let her go n no matter how badly he wants her to stay with him, she has to go
Entering the room, he saw Kaya n Nihaal discussing about it only but what bothered him at that moment was the proximity they shared as Kaya sat with him draping an arm around her drawing her closer
"I'm sorry" he turned
"Shlok…." he stopped him, "Come on in, its okay" he glanced at Kaya's face, it seemed that she had been crying a bit
"Nihaal…please don't misunderstand, whatever she did was because I urged her to do"
"I know"
"That was a foolish act….I should have thought about her before doing anything like that"
"It's perfectly fine with me….but you know I just can't go n explain that to everybody, n frankly they
won't even understand your relation"
"I'm really sorry for messing it up…."
"Don't worry, it'll get okay"
"Kaya….I'm really sorry for spoiling your birthday" she looked at him, "In fact I shouldn't have come here…..n make things bad"
"Hey don't say that" Nihaal urged, "We're happy that you came along"

It was almost evening n now Kaya had been worrying about him, for he was seen nowhere. First they had thought that he must have gone for a walk but now it was too late for one
"We need to do something" suggested one
"Hmm"
"Let's go n search him….may be he's lost somewhere in the dark" said another
"That's not possible, he was telling me that he knows this area well" informed one
"That means either he's willingly not coming back or he might be in trouble"
"You mean he's gone back?" asked one
"Uhun…..he cannot do that without informing" Nihaal said, "We should first search him out" he got up
"Nihaal, I would go to" Kaya said
"What will you do?"
"I don't know…..I'm not feeling it right, if something had happened to him"
"I'm sure he's fine"
"May be but I can't stay here"
"Don't worry Kaya…..I'm going, I'll bring him back"
"He'll be okay isn't it?" she asked in an assurance
"Of course why not….we'll be back soon" he kissed her temple briefly before leaving
Kaya had been calling Nihaal at intervals…but he said they hadn't located him yet…..worried she came in n saw Pragya reading a book

"Hmm" she uttered without looking up at her
"How can you be so relaxed?"
"Why not? What's wrong?" she asked instead
"Everyone's so worried about Shlok….he's missing"
"So what do I need to do?"
"You really amaze me…..they have gone to search him out, even those know him for less than a day, they too care…..n look at yourself, you're reading a book?"
"Yes…because I know there's nothing to panic about"
"You know him well….n after whatever happened…."
"That was his fault….n your's too"
"Okay, but then too how can someone totally turn away from a person like that?"
"Don't worry…" she said finally putting her book down, "Who knows, may be he's doing all this just for fun?"
"Just stop it….how can you even think that?"
"Because now I know him well…you don't know what he said to me at the restaurant?"
"What?"
"That I'm jealous of you…..n he thinks I'm offended with my own life, rubbish"
"I know……he had said all this to me, n asked me to take care of you"
"Huh?" she was surprised to hear that, "What?"
"Hmm, even he feels your pain….that how difficult it is to be lonely, for he's going through the same"
"But he….."
"Just let it be Prags…..you never understood him, but I know what he's"
"Kaya believe me he was really blaming me that day…or why would I…."
"Because you just can't stand him, I don't know why?" she gushed out before leaving the room
Walking down the passage, her eyes swelled up with tears
"Shlok…. please come back" she pleaded, "I'll not say anything to you…"
"Kaya…." came one running to her, n she rubbed her tears off

"They have found him out…..Nihaal is bringing him back" she said
"Where's he?"
"They are on their way, come" n she rushed to the entrance, waiting to see him again
As soon as the car stopped, Nihaal stepped out n walked over to Kaya
"Where was he?" she asked hurriedly
"He was sitting by the lake….I think he's still upset over that thing"
"I'll talk to him"
"Hmm"
She crossed over to Shlok who now looked tired, like he had gone through a lot,
"Where were you gone…..you know how worried I was for you?" she asked n he looked at her
"I don't want to stay back…."
"But why, we'll be leaving........." he stopped her by a hand
"I need to go home now" saying he walked back
