OCTOBER 3:
The doctor checks on Rajendra and tells them that he has some acute problems (sorry, I wasn't able to hear the full name), which is the beginning of heart attack. He tells them to keep him away from any form of stress. After the doctor leaves, Surekha tells Raj and Manoj that this their fault and if something had happened to Rajendra, she wouldn't have forgiven them. She warns them never to fight again. Raj meets Rajendra in his room. Rajendra asks him whether he is going to leave him. Raj tells him that he is very sorry for taking such a decision and he will never do it again. Rajendra then sees Rani standing at the door and tells her that she must've gotten tired of listening to his lame jokes every morning and he promises never to trouble her with them if she stays. Rani tells him that she and Raj would never leave the house. Aarti witnesses this and tells herself that they will have to leave the house someday. The next morning, Rani reads the Ramayan to Rajendra. Surekha tells Aarti to bring Raj and Manoj their breakfast. Aarti gives Raj the leftover of last night while she gives Manoj freshly cooked food. Surekha asks her as to what is she up to. Aarti tells her that there were lots pf leftovers last nigh so she gave them to Raj. Surekha tells her that she could've given them to Manoj as well. Aarti is about to exchange Raj and Manoj's plates but Raj tells her that he would eat it. Rani sees this and has a sad look on her face. Raj meets Shekhar and tells him that he wants to apply for the job he found for him. Shekhar tells him that the salary is very low but Raj tells him that it doesn't matter, as he is tired of hearing Aarti and Manoj's taunts everyday. Shekhar then calls his friend but finds out that the job vacancy has already been filled. Raj is upset. Madhu plays with Cheenu when Amit returns home. He asks her whether she withdrew Rs. 4,000 form their account. She says that she needed the money to pay for Cheenu's day care center, as no one is willing to take care of him while she is at work. He tells her that she is spending too much over an outsider. They start arguing again. Cheenu feels bad about this and runs out of the house. Madhu runs after him. Cheenu is about to get hit by a car but Madhu pushes him aside and gets hit instead but isn't seriously injured. Cheenu says 'Mummy' and Madhu is happy to hear this from him. She hugs him and tells him not to leave her again. He promises not to. Raj returns home and is bothered about his job. He tells Rani that he is to be blamed for the problems at home. Rani tells him not to think that way. He tells her that he needs her support, as he wants to lie to everyone that he got a job so that they would feel a bit better. Rani tells him that she would support him in this but she is sure that he would get a job pretty soon. Aarti overhears this and tells herself that she will use this against them.

OCTOBER 4:
Raj tells everyone at home that he got a job. Surekha is very happy for him. Aarti tells him that he will now be able to share in their expenses. Manoj asks him about his salary. Raj tells him that it is only Rs. 10,000 but it would increase in a few months. Raj and Rani look at each other. Aarti looks at them with a smirk. Raj is leaving the house. Rani accompanies him and asks him as to why did he tell Manoj that he has a very low salary. Raj tells her that he never lied before and got a bit scared; and that if he had mentioned a higher salary, he wouldn't know where to get the money from if he didn't get a job by the end of the month. Rani tells him to think positively. She then gives him the keys of his motorbike but he tells her that he wouldn't take it. Rani feels sad as she sees him walking out of the 'chawl'. Aarti witnesses this. Cheenu sees everything messed up at home and tells himself that he will have to tell 'his dad' to keep his things at the proper place. He starts arranging them and then sees Amit's camera lens and plays with it. Amit sees him and asks him as to what is he doing. This scares Cheenu and he accidentally drops it. Amit shouts at him. Madhu comes in and tells him that Cheenu is just a child. Amit leaves in anger. Cheenu starts crying and asks her Madhu as to why does Amit hate him. Madhu tells him that he would love him one day. Raj goes to lots of places for an interview. Rani keeps thinking of him at home and even prays for him. Surekha, Aarti and Rani talk about Saloni's wedding. Surekha asks Aarti whether they could give Saloni the jewelries she won so that they wouldn't have to spend so much for the wedding. Aarti doesn't say anything. When Manoj returns, he finds Aarti sitting alone in a dark room. When he asks her what the matter is, she starts crying and tells him that Surekha wants her to give Saloni the jewelries she won. She tells him that she never bought any for herself and now that she won something, Surekha wants her to give it away. Manoj tells her that he wouldn't let this happen. The next day, Manoj gives Surekha a check of Rs. 1 Lacs and tells her that it is his share for Saloni's wedding and also tells her to stay away from Aarti's stuffs. She tells him that she asked Aarti for the jewelries so that they would be able to save some money. He tells her that she should ask Raj for his share as well. Surekha tells him that Raj just got his job and can't apply for a loan immediately. Manoj tells her that he's not going to spend for everything. Surekha tells him that she would have a grand wedding for Saloni, just as Madhu's wedding. Manoj tells her that she will have to postpone the wedding for 3-6 months then until Raj earns that much, Surekha shouts at him and tells him that she wouldn't let Saloni get married until Raj earns so much. She tells Raj not to worry, as she is with him and when he gives her his check, she would be able to shut the mouths of those who have spoken against him.

OCTOBER 5:
Raj tells Rani that he didn't know that his lie would take him this far. Aarti overhears this and tells herself that this is just the beginning. Surekha then gives Raj the list of Rajendra's medicines. She also asks him as to why didn't he bring his motorbike yesterday. Raj tells her that the bus takes him directly to his office but Surekha tells him to bring his motorbike from now on, as he might feel very tired if he continuously travels by bus. Before he leaves, Aarti asks him to pay the electricity bill. Rani accompanies Raj out of the house. She asks him as to how would he pay for the medicines and the electricity bill. Raj tells her not to worry, as he would somehow manage. Cheenu sits opposite Amit and tries to imitate everything he does. He, then, stares at Amit's camera and tells him that he wants to learn how to use it. Amit asks him as to why is he interested in learning it. Cheenu says that every child wants to be like his father when he grows up, and he wants to be like him, too. Amit smiles at him. Madhu enters and is happy to see Amit smiling at Cheenu but as soon as Amit sees Madhu, he leaves. Madhu follows him and tells him that if he feels like hugging Cheenu, he shouldn't stop himself. Amit tells her that she may have accepted Cheenu but shouldn't expect him to do the same. Shalini visits Rani and apologizes for Puneet's mistakes. She tells her that Puneet had no right to insult Raj and she is also to be blamed in a way. Aarti spies on them. Shalini tells Rani that they should keep themselves away from Raj and Puneet's fight and forget about everything. Aarti speaks in between and tells Shalini that none of them would forgive Puneet for what he did to Raj. Shalini asks Rani whether she told everyone about this. Rani tries to explain but Aarti tells her that Rani is now a member of their house and wouldn't hide anything from them, even if it affects her sisters. Shalini feels bad and tells Rani That she came to say sorry even if she (Rani) committed some mistakes of her own, as she wanted everything to be all right between them but she humiliated her in front of her family. She starts crying and then leaves from there. Rani feels bad and asks Aarti as to why did she do this. Rani runs to her room and calls Shalini but Shalini doesn't answer her phone. On Rani's fourth attempt, Shalini answers the phone. Rani pleads her to listen to her. She tells Shalini that when Raj got his job everyone at home was so happy but then he lost his job the following day because of Puneet but Raj didn't say anything, not even to her. She tells her that she heard Raj speaking to Amit and then told everyone because Manoj kept on insulting him. Shalini tells her that from now on, she should only concern herself with Raj's self-respect and she would concern herself with Puneet's. Rani feels bad. Raj is driving his motorbike when he gets a call from Shekhar. He tells Shekhar that he would call him back. He, then, gets caught by the traffic police. The officer asks him for his license and Rs. 200. Raj tells him that he wouldn't do it in the future but the officer doesn't listen to him. Raj is forced to give the money and is upset upon seeing that he only has Rs. 50 left.

OCTOBER 6:
Amit sleeps on the couch outside. Madhu tells him to sleep inside the room, as he is not feeling well but he tells her that no one cares for him. Madhu tries to convince him but he doesn't listen to her so she walks away in tears. Rani sees Madhu at the 'mandir' in the chawl and joins her. Madhu tells her that Amit has still not accepted Cheenu. She tells him that Cheenu is trying to come closer to Amit but Amit doesn't let him. Rani tells her that everything would be all right. Rani meets Amit. He tells her that he is reading a book called 'govind…(something, I don't remember)'. She tells him that the book speaks about Lord Krishna's life and his relationship with Nandji, who loved him as a son even if they had no relationship at all. She, then, tells him to accept Cheenu and then, he would slowly see his own son in him. Amit thinks about this. While Amit is asleep, Cheenu massages his head. Amit wakes up and asks him as to what is he doing. Cheenu tells him that he is applying balm, which would make him feel better. Amit tells him to go to sleep. Cheenu sleeps at the edge of the couch. When Amit wakes up in the morning, he is surprised to see Cheenu sleeping beside him. When Cheenu wakes up, he feels Amit's head and tells him that he doesn't have fever anymore and it is because of the balm he applied. Amit asks him as to why did he sleep there. Cheenu tells him that his friend told him that when he was sick, his dad stayed up all night for him and then the next day, he felt better and he thought he'd do the same for him but he only made one mistake-that he fell asleep. Amit places Cheenu on his lap and pats his head. Madhu is happy to see this. Amit asks Madhu to join them and then he hugs them both and apologizes. Surekha speaks to Nitin about postponing the wedding for 6 months but Nitin tells her that his parents don't mind having a simple wedding. Surekha tells him that she wants to have a nice wedding for Saloni, just as she had for Madhu. Nitin agrees to speak to his parents. Raj is sitting in a garden and is going through the newspaper for job vacancies. He wonders as to how long would he struggle to look for a job. Manoj is on his way home with a friend in a rickshaw. He tells himself that his friend's house would come before his, which means that he will have to pay the fare. He decides to get down immediately and take a shortcut home through the garden. At the garden, Manoj sees Raj and is shocked. He approaches him and Raj is shocked to see him as well. Manoj asks him as to what is he doing there. Raj tells him that he is meeting a client. Before Manoj could ask further questions, Raj approaches a man and pretends to talk to him. After Manoj leaves, the man tells him that he must have been mistaken. Raj returns home, upset. Rani tells him that he will get a job soon. Raj tells her that he has become a huge burden on everyone. He tells her that he feels like going up to Surekha to assure her that he would manage everything for Saloni's wedding but can't. He tells her that he had to sell the watch she selected for him during their wedding. He also tells her that everyone has a job except him and he feels so ashamed of himself. Rani tells him not to lose hope and then hugs him. The next day, Surekha asks Rani for Raj's office address, as he has left his file. Rani tells her that Raj doesn't need the file. Surekha then asks her to accompany her to the bazaar, as there is a huge sale. After they leave, Aarti takes the file and goes to the garden where Raj is. She gives him the file and tells him that he left it at home. Raj is shocked to see her there. She tells him that she knows that he lied about his job, as she overhead his and Rani's conversation. She then tells him that she wouldn't tell anyone about it. Raj thanks her. She gives him his lunch and leaves from there but smirks behind his back.
