Written Update 10 July 2009

Dev decides to leave Vishaka. Radhika tries to reason with him, that he should not be hasty in taking such a big decision. He should think about her family and what will happen to Vishaka. Her family will be shamed. What will society say? My family will die a thousand deaths. Dev retorts do you know I die everyday a little, I am stuck in a relationship I don't want to abide due to a misunderstanding, by this 3 lives have been ruined, mine, Vishaka's and yours. I will not tolerate it anymore. I have come to this conclusion after much thought. I will tell this to everyone tomorrow. I will not continue this fake relationship. I want to take you to Delhi, tell my family the truth. They will ask you for forgiveness. This misunderstanding will be cleared. Radhika replies that she will not go to Delhi with him, that she does not need that this daag be cleared. She would never have accepted it in the first place if she was not ready to bear the brunt. She says it does not matter that his family considers her a saint or not. She tells him if he cares at all for her, then he will change his decision. They suddenly notice Birju. Dev leaves in a huff. Radhika leaves crying.

Dev is sitting in his room. Birju comes to him and says he is no one to tell him what to do, but yes in breaking off this marriage it will affect the whole family. He should at least consider them while taking his decision.

Shastriji is sitting dejectedly. Devki comes to him and says I have committed a grave sin by not telling you the truth at the right moment. She says in trying to save Vishaka and be a good mother, I have failed as a wife. Shastriji explains that to become a good mother she needs to think well about her daughters, in her endeavour to cover Vishaka's mistakes, she has inadvertedly let this incident happen. If Dev babu does not forgive her, then society will blame him. His reputation will be ruined. He says seeing all this happening he does not wish to live as he does not have the strength to face all this. Radhika overhears the conversation and is crying.

Radhika is thinking. Bawre Naina is playing. Shastriji and Devki are unable to fall asleep. Vishaka is seen sleeping. Radhika goes to her kanha and questions how much more tests will she have to face? What does he want her to do? For the first time, I have seen cried babuji cry. I know even though he has not said anything to me, every tears is because of me. If my sister's marriage breaks, then even our family will. Radhika is lamenting that Babuji will not be able to face society. What if he leaves Vishaka? Aama who has overheard her, yells at her. She tells her to shut her filthy mouth and not to think such evil things for Vishaka, she blames her for everything that has happened, and that she is responsible for the fact Vishaka marriage is failing. She says if it had not been for you, Vishaka would have been happy at her in laws. My dreams for Vishaka would have been fulfilled. But today because of your cursed self this will not happen. Why are you bent on destroying Vishaka's life? Why can't you leave them alone? All the blame lies on you. Aama goes away in a furry. Radhika is tormented and rethinks what Aama has said. She suddenly wipes her tears and goes to get some paper and pen. She writes a letter to Dev telling him that she knows it is because of her that he is taking this decision, she knows she is the reason for the separation between him and Vishaka, she knows she is troubling her babuji hence she has decided to leave her family and him. My conscience does not allow me to let this happen and be responsible for this. If possible, forgive me. She ties the letter to her dupatta. She takes her kanha with her and is looking around the house melancholically. Bawre Naina is playing. She bows in front of the picture of shastriji and touches his feet in the picture.

Her dupatta gets caught in her Babuji's chair; she gets teary and wipes it with her dupatta. She suddenly hears Shastriji calling her. She turns around but it is her imagination. She crosses Aama's path, she turns and bends down to take her ashiwaad. She suddenly remembers not to touch her and touches the ground instead. Aama is motionless; she does not stop her nor gives her ashiwaad. Radhika goes away. She is seeing walking towards Dev's house. She sees the driver outside and hides. When the driver leaves the car, she slips her letter in Dev's car and leaves.

It is morning. Birju tells Dev that he has laid breakfast on the table. He should eat as he has not eaten anything since yesterday. Dev says he is not hungry. He says I have decided, I will not continue this relationship with Vishaka, I will tell everyone, it will take them time to understand and accept but I cannot keep ruining our lives. The problems in our relationship will have to come in front of everyone. I have to free myself.

Precap: Dev gets in his car and puts his jacket on the letter. He drives off. He suddenly notices the letter.

The scene shifts. Aama asks Dev how come he is here. Dev looks at Vishaka and says I have come to tell my decision. Vishaka is tensed.
