Scene 3 (Next day: Vrinda and Rajbeer driving in a car to Lucknow)
Rajbeer is driving while Vrinda is sitting next to him, feeling very tensed. Rajbeer notices that and puts his hand on Vrinda's hands to comfort her.
Rajbeer: Don't worry Vrinda jee, everything will be ok. I told you I will go talk to Mr. Malhotra personally and tell him how much this house means to us.
Vrinda: I know Rajbeer jee, I know you do everything well but somehow today I had a strange feeling going on inside of me- a feeling that's telling me something big is going to happen, which is going to change our lives forever.
Rajbeer: And true that is Vrinda jee! Today all our troubles will be put to end. After all, you know how good I am at charming people- Mr. Malhotra will fall of his feet when I persuade him!
Vrinda: (smiling) Rajbeer jee aap bhi naa'maazaak sooj raha hai aap ko.
Rajbeer: Yes, because after today I know we will have the house to ourselves and then we can all live happily ever after. Of course only one more work will be left to make everything even more perfect.
Vrinda: (confused) What more work Rajbeer jee? Is there still some property left to be brought back?
Rajbeer: (smirking) No no Vrinda jee, no property, just a family we will have to complete. I want a child who we can call our very own, who will be the trace of our wonderful relationship, who will complete the jigsaw puzzle that we two created since our marriage.
Vrinda stops smiling. She knew Rajbeer was right. More than 5 years had gone since their marriage and it was time they fulfilled their families' wishes and had a child. She had never admitted it to her husband and all always acted shy when he spoke about children, but the truth was something else. In all these 5 years Vrinda had dutifully taken the role of a wife and helped her husband and his family come through tough times, however, she had never felt the kind of love with Rajbeer, as she had felt with'with Yug. Yes, she was the one to marry him off to Bharti because she couldn't see him all alone after she had left him for her husband. The truth was she had felt an immense guilt when Ammu died- all because of Rajbeer's plan to unite her and Yug. She couldn't then take it on to leave her husband in that terrible time and marry Yug. Her guilt had left her no choice, and of course she did realize from all this that Rajbeer loved her immensely. Maybe that love had taken over Yug. But did she love Rajbeer- that was a question. Vrinda had never quite figured it out if she could ever stop loving Yug- therefore she had shut the feelings of love along with Yug in a corner of her heart and promised not to open them ever. Even she could never fall in love with Rajbeer, he was surely her best friends, and she would always be there for him. Yet, when ever he mentioned of carrying their relationship forward, she felt a pain in her heart, as if those feelings she had shut inside of her, were stopping her from agreeing. Was she still in love with Yug? She had not idea, however, she did know that she always has and always will pray the best of Yug and can never see him in pain.
Rajbeeer who had been driving for sometime, noticed Vrinda was suddenly quite at the mention of children.
Rajbeer: Vrinda jee, what happened? Aap achanak chup kyun hogayee?
Vrinda: No nothing Rajbeer jee.
Rajbeer: (smiling) I know you must be thinking about our future children right?
Vrinda: Well Rajbeer jee, I'I'well'I don't think I am ready for children'I mean why don't we give it some more time.
Rajbeer: You know Vrinda jee for these 5 years whenever I tried to bring the topic of children up you changed the topic, saying you have some important work. I understood that maybe you were still adjusting to your roles as a wife and you were busy. But Vrinda jee now all major tensions are gone and even Bhai saab's and Teji's sons are also growing up. Don't you think it's time we get our little one in the house too?
Vrinda: (nervous) Rajbeer jee, let's talk about this later, let's meet Mr. Malhotra first.
Rajbeer: (hurt) I know the answer Vrinda jee. Today you might be with me'but your heart is still there with Yug right?
Vrinda is shocked. Rajbeer silently drives while Vrinda stares at him. She quickly then looks out the window while Rajbeer turns to her.
Rajbeer: (managing to smile) Don't worry Vrinda jee, let's forget about children and think of the happiness everyone is going to get from this house.
Vrinda hesitantly smiles and both sit silently as the car drives on.
Scene 4: (Yug has reached his house with Bharti)
VA: Welcome home my son, you came just in time otherwise my health would have gotten worse.
Yug: Let it be daadu. I knew it was a drama to get me here. Anyways, I am here now so you can stop this act.
VA: (hurt, but smiling) Sorry son, but I only did it so I can meet my grandson who has been hiding away from his home for the last 5 years. Look at your mother.
Bindiya does pooja of Yug and Bharti and then cries as she hugs Yug.
Bindiya: Yug, this mother has been waking up every morning for the last years with just one hope- that one day her son will enter her doorstep. (She looks towards Bharti) I am so glad my bahu has been able to fulfill my heart's desired and bring my boy here. (She kisses Bharti's forehead)
Bharti feebly smiled and all the family members welcome the couple. VA moves to embrace his dear grandson, but Yug slowly moves away. VA gets tensed up. Yug, who once leaped into his grandfather's arms when he came home from college vacations, was now acting so coldly, even though he has been away from home for 5 years. Yug knew his daadu was hurt, but he was helpless. Whenever he saw the faces of his daadu and DB, he could not help but remember the brutality those had taken to murder his and Vrinda's love. Such a thought also them reminded him of Vrinda and he knew it was safe to stay away from those thoughts here because he did not want to spoil his love's happiness.
Finally, all the family sat down for tea in the living room when the watchman came in.
Watchman: (to VA) Sahaab, chote Sir's driver is not letting me bring the luggage inside.
VA: (confused) Yug, why is the driver doing that? You and Bharti need all your stuff right?
Bharti gets tensed up while Yug nonchalantly replies:
Yug: Daadu, I don't think Bharti and I will need all that stuff for two hours.
VA: 2 hours'what?
Yug: Daadu in 2 hours we are leaving and going to Lucknow. From there we will depart back to London.
With that Yug takes his phone and heads upstairs. VA gets hurt and the rest of the family are shocked. Bharti tries to manage the situation.
Bharti: Actually Yug has an official meeting with Mr. Malhotra in his party tonight and straight after that he has to attend some important calls in London.
VA: (hurt) Still he could have came here sometime sooner or transferred his London meetings here. No it's not the work, I know Yug hates his daadu.
Bharti is upset as she knows that's somewhat the truth. Yug still loves Vrinda and he is in fear his family will indirectly remind him of her. She silently sips her tea and gets ready to go to Lucknow.
Scene 5 (Mr. Malhotra's Party)
Yug and Bharti enter in a limo and are welcomed by all the businessmen. Meanwhile, Mr. Malhotra gets a call that a guy called Rajbeer wants to talk to him urgently so he tells his colleagues to take good care of Yug and Bharti (as they are the chief guests) in his absence.
Meanwhile Vrinda is waiting outside the party while Rajbeer has gone to talk outside. Somehow today the air seems different. Vrinda gets tensed up- not because of what will happen to the house because she knows Rajbeer will make things right, but because the strange atmosphere seems to be intoxicating her- it seems to unraveling all those feelings of love and Yug she had locked in her heart. Vrinda's heart starts pounding- Why does she feel that someone's footsteps today are controlling her heartbeats? She is scared of this incoming storm. Is Yug here? Just when she is about to get to the core of this mystery, Rajbeer comes running along.
Meanwhile Yug and Bharti are talking to everyone at the party. A guest comments on how good Bharti is.
Guest: Wow Yug, you are so lucky to have such a beautiful and caring wife.
Both Yug and Bharti feel awkward. They hesitantly smile and move forward.
Yug: (to Bharti) You manage here, I will go and take some fresh air.
Bharti: But Sir, Mr. Malhotra will be here any minute'
Yug: (interrupts her) Bharti, please do as I say.
Bharti agrees and hides back her tears. She clearly knows Yug is upset, thinking if Vrinda was here with him as his wife, instead of her, things would have been much better. She puts on a fake smiles and begins chatting with the people while Yug walks towards the backyard. He looks back the party going inside and imagines Vrinda's presence there with him. He takes her photo out from his wallet and looks at her innocent face.
Yug: Vrinda, today I am going to sign an important deal with Mr. Malhotra and I wanted to see your inspirational face before doing anything. (He placed the photo on his heart) Vrinda all these years I have taken the support of you face and it has given me all this success. I am nothing without you Vrinda'nothing'
With that Yug wipes his tears, places the photo carefully inside and starts to go back to the party. Suddenly he is stopped at his feet. There is something different today. Even though he has put Vrinda's photo back, her presence seems to be haunting him still. The wind starts blowing. Suddenly he starts feeling like the old Yug- the way Yug felt with Vrinda; his heart full of passion and love. What is happening to him? Why is it? He cannot help but think Vrinda is near him. Trying to prove is intuition wrong, Yug turns around slowly and is shocked to what he sees.
