I think you are misinterpreting the way Armaan is shaped up to be...his love is completely true, that is even doubtless...to the extreme extent, cuz thats whats always been shown, from the beginning. Its just that he's very, very possessive abt Riddhima and so he gets very insecure abt everyone when it comes to her. I think, he doesnt trust anyone with Riddhima, he has had a good dose of the bad world in itself, having been there, done that...and now he just wants to save Riddhima from even the slightest bit of hurt or pain. Call it over-protectiveness, insecurity or whatever. He IS in love with her, and thats something no one can possibly doubt.
