IMHO Siddhesh actually performed the best in the locking and popping showdown. In the first place I think the showdown was unfair as this style is supposed to be Prince's forte. However, Prince is very repetetive in his movements. I think Siddhesh showcased the style with many innovative moves. In this day and age when even Disney girls are popping and locking, for me innovation and variation is the key instead of just doing the same things over and over.
Most importantly I find it rich that Mithun is a fan of locking and popping and judges people over it. I think he would be the guy who would blanket term everything as break dance. 😆
Another thing to note is that in modern times locking and popping has become associated with the hip hop and street dancing forms as it is being incorporated by these dancers. Originally locking and popping was more associated with more electronic genres like techno.
