Life In A... Metro is a Hindi language film directed by Anurag Basu, set in Mumbai, and starring Dharmendra, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Konkona Sen Sharma, Sharman Joshi, Shiney Ahuja, Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan Khan in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Pritam with lyrics by Sayeed Quadri. The film was released on October 5, 2007 ^[1]. The film narrates the individual lives of seven people living in Mumbai ^[2], and deals with topics like extramarital affairs, sanctity of marriage, and love.

In the song "In Dino", the line 'Hai tujhe bhi ijazat, karle tu bhi mohobbat' is sung exactly like a line from a song Mera Naam Hai Mohabbat by Pakistani singer Waqar Ali. That song is in the album by the same name, released in January 2001. ^[3].

The song "O Meri Jaan" begins with a guitar riff that is might be a rip-off of Queensryche's "Silent Lucidity". The melody itself is adapted from the song "Ba'ed el Layali" by Egyptian singer Amr Diab.

Further, the song "Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si" might have been lifted from the song "Ah Reum Dah Oon Sa Ram" by Korean singer Seo Yu Seok.

The background music for the scene between Shilpa Shetty and Shiney Ahuja in his friend's house might have been lifted from the soundtrack for The Constant Gardener (film). The background music for a comic scene between Konkana Sen Sharma and Irfan Khan is lifted from Colombian singer Claudia Gomez's A Capella song Soltarlo.
