"Om Sivoham.." is sung in praise of Shiva. Lyrics is penned by Vaali and sung by Vijay Prakash.

On the other hand, "Kallai mattum kandal" praises Lord Vishnu and is sung by Hariharan.

I voted for Kallai mattum kandal.

The song Oh shivoham is very good however,
1. You cannot compare a tamil song and a song sung in hindi/sanskrit.
2. Most of this song is filled with hyms from rudram. so I couldn't consider it as a song. As rudhram should be sung in only one way as you might know with proper pronounciation and taking care of the length of the syllables in the hymns properly.
3. The singer's voice is good but had less chance to show up his skills here.
4. the phrase "Om Namo Narayanaya" carries that song to a height. I voted just for the singer who said that word.
5. the beginning of this shivoham song sounded more like a noise rather than some beat.

all this is purely based on my view and anyone has the right to oppose it.

by the way....I do not practise vaishnavism.

I also voted for Kallai mattum kandal cause of Hariharans voice, lyrics and picturization of the song.

I do beleive some of the lyrics line of Vaali sir created a controversy out there when the song first got relased😊

Om Sivoham..is decently sung by Vijay Prakash, and the music is incomparable.👏

Hariharan did an amazing job with the song Kallai mattum kandal.👏 Music was listenable, eventhough it was copied from a Malayalam movie called Sainyam. Main credit for this song is the lyrices penned by Vaali.

So I'll also go with the majority - Kalli mattum kandal!😉

Thanks for taking part!😃
