Today's episode was fun to watch- it was entertaining. If you liked
YMLH (before the coma and marriage business) and movies like Kuch
Kuch Hota Hai, this episode was for you! Here is the update:
The episode starts Ayush telling Dr Seth that he knew she would
question him. He says that is why he wanted to speak to her. Ayush
hands Dr Seth a paper which states he wants to switch from General
Medicine to Psychiatric medicine. Dr Seth is shocked and upset. She
asks Ayush how can he switch when he knows that there are less
doctors in general medicine. She also adds that Dr Kavvya is already
in Psychiatric medicine for Bodhi. Seth says sorry, but she won't
approve his letter. Dr Dalmia (a different Dr Dalmia- first time I
am seeing him) questions Ayush on the matter and sees the letter. He
approves it for Ayush. Ayush is thankful to him, but Dr Seth is
shocked with Dalmia's action. Dalmia says they can switch Ayush back
to general medicine anytime after Bodhi's treatment- its better he
stay a doctor in Vardaan then resign.
Ayush tells Kavvya the good news. Usha comes to see Ayush and Bodhi and brings
Bodhi food. Ayush asks Usha where his lunch is. Usha says Sonia was
going to bring it for him, but must have forgetten. Usha then says
that Sonia is probably getting ready for Rohit's party. Ayush is
surprised and also hungry He thinks to himself that he can never
understand Sonia.
The next scene shows both Ayush and Sonia getting ready for the
party. Ayush puts on a black leather jacket over his red t-shirt and
jeans. Sonia is looking pretty in a white churidaar with pink
embroidery. Sonia then (just like Kajol in KKHH) is shown putting
mascara and jewelry on. Ayush calls up Sonia to 'confirm' that the
party is tonight. Sonia is happy he called and thinks that Usha's
plan is working perfectly. Ayush tells Sonia that he will come to
pick. Sonia agrees. She then calls Usha to tell her the good news,
but Usha tells her to not let Ayush pick her up- instead, she
suggests she play 'hard to get' Sonia agrees. Next, Sonia has a
flashback of when she and Ayush were in high school. He comes to
pick her up, but she is wearing pants and a blue shirt. Ayush says
how can she go to prom night dressed like that! Sonia says she isn't
like 'those stupid girls!' Ayush says that people should think that
a handsome guy like him is coming with a pretty girl. Back to
reality, Sonia thinks that tonight a pretty girl is not going to go
the party with Ayush. Ayush comes to pick up Sonia, but Urvashi
tells him that Sonia already left sometime back. Ayush is surprised.
Sonia arrives at the party. Rohit is shocked to see her all dressed
up- 'Sonia Soniya' One of Rohit's friend, Sid, is completely 'gaga'
over Sonia- seriously 😳. He keeps staring at her. Finally, Rohit
introduces Sonia to Sid and Sid to Sonia. Sid offers Sonia a drink,
but she declines and walks away from him. Sid however refuses to let
her go and goes to sit next to her. Sonia keeps staring at the door
impatiently, waiting for Ayush to arrive. Finally, he does. Sonia
decides to play hard to get again and begins to get friendly with
Sid- she asks him what he does, about his hobbies. Sid is thrilled
that Sonia is interested in him. Ayush finally sees Sonia and comes
over to her. He asks her why she left for the party without him.
Sonia lies and says Sid came to pick her up- she takes Sid's hand.
Then, Sid asks Sonia to dance on the song because its his favorite.
Sonia of course agrees and Ayush is left alone disappointed. He
watches the two dance. Sonia and Sid at first enjoy dancing
together, but (no surprise) Sid starts to get to close for our
heroine. She tells him to keep his distance, but he refuses. But no
worry, our Ayush hero comes and saves the day- he punches Sid and he
goes flying.
Sid is furious with Ayush, who then takes his jacket off. Sid and
him share a few punches. Sid then says 'who are you doing this for?'
Ayush replies 'ek dost ki liye' Sid laughs off the friend talk and
says when a guy and a beautiful girl are 'friends' its more than
that. Ayush then gives him a lecture saying Sonia is his friend- a
friend who understands him, who cries for him, who shares his laughs
with him, who asks for nothing in return, and finally a friend whose
world starts and ends with him. Sid says that is not friendship, but
pyar- love is understanding, love is sharing your tears etc. Finally
Ayush blurts out that he loves Sonia. The episode ends on Sonia's
shocked face.
Comments: Like I said, this was a really entertaining episode. I
think, just my opinion, but they should have made Ayush a genius
college student instead of a doctor. It would have been better for
the show cause its hard to see Ayush as a doctor- he never does
anything doctor-like. I mean, even a medical student would have been
fine, but there's a difference between being a doctor and being a
student. Anyway, let's see if Ayush's declaration of love is for
real or if this just another dream. Would be interesting if he
really does love her! The whole saving Sonia scene reminded me of
the whole 'Ronit saving Pooja and calling her his girlfriend' scene
from YMLH. Same exact scene really 😆!
