i like the fact that Anandi is quick to raise questions if she does not understand a thing or practice.. her questions really are thought-provoking .. but i dont like the fact that her mother-in-law always comes up with some excuse or the other to divert Anandi's attention.. if she will keep on postponing this..who knows Anandi might jus stop asking relevant questions.. and gets caught up in the shackles of old traditions and peactices for life long
i hope Sumitra soon starts protesting along with Anandi.. and even her husband should protest so that maasa realizes her wrongdoings.. but this process is going to take time.. as for now i wanna see Sumitra raising her voice against maasa
wat do u all think about Anandi's questions.. and should Sumitra also join in 😛

I think Sumitra is protesting but in a more subtle manner.

Though she evades certain questions; I think it's more to do with protecting Anandi from unnecessary problems as opposed to keeping her 'dumb'.

Besides, Anandi's a clever child and once she hits her teens she'll probably figure otu most of it for herself.😃

Um; I think I've just gone of on a tangent!😆

Anandi will keep on asking questions because she has a ticking brain in her head. Besides, her nature is such that she doesn't let go till she is fully convinced. 🤓 Children her age are continually asking and asking. It is to get knowledge. To understand the right from the wrong. She tries to find logic in customs and beliefs that are rigid and more often stupid. Dadi epitomises that. No wonder she neither understands Dadi nor likes her.
Sumitra is a generation ahead of Anandi. But she understands Anandi perfectly. 🤗 She may have felt just like Anandi when she was her age. But the time may not have been right. Now, she is older and has got accustomed to the way of life in that household. But she is also rebellious in her own way. Hasn't she stopped her daughter from going to her sasural? 👍🏼She is quiet and has allowed her daughter -n -law so many more liberties than she herself probably had.👏
Rather a long reply???? 😳😉

Sumitra has a way of telling no . did you see When maasa tells sumitra to put more ghee in jaggu's daal. what does sumitra do? she doesn't say anything nor she puts more ghee in the dal. Maasa goes and does it on her own. Sumitra knows that jaggu doesnt like more of ghee.

Even if it comes to anandi questions, i like the way sumitra uses her own answers to get that.

for example why raj ram mohan roy was against child marriage. sumitra gives answers that she like a vegetable and anandi does not like. she tells that the same way, raja ram mohan roy also did not like child marriage.

Just to see that Anandi does the teej fast, she tells her if you do the fast then you will get sone ki phalki. Anandi agrees to that answer.

anandi is wise for her age. she hasnt been in the house dat long. give her time and she wil fight her own battles. sumitra is stuck in the family tradition and unable to question the judgement of the elders but i think anandi has the courage to stand up for herself. when she reaches the maturity age she wil probably make maasa sings to her tunes😉😆
