- Fox has lost the case against Time Bomb.
- You say not to watch these idiotic indian shows.... and to watch the original ones... well these shows are needed here. I would just like to inform you that all Indians don't understand english be even the educated ones. More than 50% of Indians are not so highly educated to understand those original shows. So dear friend what do you propose for those people. Or do you want to say that because they don't understand they don't have the right to see the show also. We are thankfull to Ketan Mehta to let us see such shows.
- All those shows are US based or Europe based. But here we don't have any interest in shows based on their problems. Time Bomb will have stories based on Indian sub-continents problems. So that would be more close and understandable and also INTERESTING for indian viewers.
- For your kind information I would like to tell you one more thing. Time Bomb is also very much realistic and the stars don't break into song and start singing their hearts out as stated by you.
- And here when they are showing Sept. 11 they are not going to show the incident of America. They are going to show Sept 11 2004 when Osama is trying to assasinate the Indian PM on the aniversary of US Sept 11.
- And finally.......... yes we'll watch Time Bomb and love to watch it.... be it because of Rajeev or ketan Mehta or anything. Fox's show is among top 10 shows in US....... here Time Bomb will be the No. 1 show..Copyrightšš¼.........
Fox has lost it's case against Time Bombšš¼ calling it a copy.
Sujalfan, you must understand, most indian shows (at least every single one I've seen) AREN'T GREAT. I know this may be too much for your heart to bear, but you must bear with me. The indian soap operas are just downright bad, and the only reason I can think of to watch one is if you think an actor/actress is cute. Yes, I'm sorry I'm being blunt. 24 has been released on DVD in many countries, and has subtitles in many languages. I didn't know that over 50% of India didn't know English; my Grandma told me that all Indians learn it in school. You said that you are thankful for the producer for "allowing" to see such shows. You act like something is holding you back from getting 24 and you have to rely on this guy to see such a thing. Believe me, compared to 24, this show is a joke. Didn't you see the screens?? Not just because this is almost a 100% copy, but the acting is an insult not only to 24, but to India. It just goes to show that India can't think of anything great that is authentic; everything has to be as Indians say 'inspired' to create something fantastic. Believe me, there is a fine line between 'inspired' and 'copied.' I'm not acting like India never created anything amazing on it's own, but what kind of example does this set. That the #1 show on Indian TV is a copied show. It is called plagiarism, guys, and it is illegal.
plagiarism
Literary theft. Plagiarism occurs when a writer duplicates another writer's language or ideas and then calls the work his or her own. Copyright laws protect writers' words as their legal property. To avoid the charge of plagiarism, writers take care to credit those from whom they borrow and quote.
Similar theft in music or other arts is also called plagiarism. (thanks to answers.com)
If you say that Indians have no interest on shows based on their problems, I say that indians need to get a real taste. A show is a show, and whether it takes place in the USA or Hong Kong does't matter. What does matter is how interesting the protagonist is, how the antagonist is overcome, plot, storyline, symbolism, etc. What you said is like saying "American people don't like to read Sherlock Holmes because it takes place in Europe, someplace far away from here." WHATEVER.
