Kavita wants to be good

For many, Kavita Kaushik's name spells evil with the many vamp roles she has played. But this is fast to change with the actress taking on a 'no more negative roles,' stance thus refusing to play vamp in Thodi Si Zameen, Thodi Sa Aasmaan.
Says Kavita, "I got a call from the creative team of Thodi Si… about a couple of weeks ago. But when they narrated the script to me, I realised that my character was completely black. I turned down the offer as I don't want to play a vamp all my life."
Kavita believes that there is no dearth of good roles in the industry. "I do not want to take anything ordinary that comes my way. It could ruin my career," she says.
Meanwhile, she is happy with the response she is getting for her role in the new weekly serial FIR on SAB. "I went to Jim Corbett National Park on a vacation a few days ago and was surprised to find that people recognising me there! It felt good to be recognised for a role that is only a few weeks old," she adds.
