My impresion

So I had seen Harshad Arora before in Beinteha, liked him there. I could not watch any of his shows after that but when I saw the promo I was excited and decided to watch for him

The first episode itself reveals that he is going to be the anti hero and that was quite interesting, something different than what he did before.

The concept is really nice as the dowry issue still persists in many of the parts of our country, not only in the poor families but also in the rich families too…

I see many getting annoyed and irritated with the character of Shreya and I definitely feel the same but also has to Appreciate the actress. It is not easy to carry out this type of a character and she has managed to Evoke the anger within viewers. I will definitely look forward to the development, be it positive or negative, of this character.

I might be in the minority and I am sorry to say this But for me, biggest disappointment is Kajol. The actress is quiet an experienced one but I am still not able to connect with her. Somehow I am not just feeling to her acting and The way she's expressing emotions. It might be just me but want to share this opinion with you all. Apologizing if I am offending any fan of hers.

But my favorite is, Patrali Chattopadhay (Shreya). She holds the aura and powerful screen presence and I enjoy her scenes with Kajol's family members😆

Regarding Kajol, I have mixed feelings. She is improving week by week. As soon as they develop the character into a strong woman, I am confident that Ishita Dutta would also shine as well.

Of course, the hero is also doing a great job as a serious and sophisticated man. Must appreciate Karan Suchak's performance as well.

But more than the three leads, I feel Shreya is the only lead of the show🤣🤣🤣. No offence.

The actress playing Shreya outshines everyone.

Yeah, the doctor guy, as a character and an actor, is doing great job.

Harshad is impressive too. Its a first time negative for him but totally living up to it.

Hoping improvement in Kajol as she is the protagonist. The character is very well written, lets see how much justice the actress can do.

I love shreya. The actress playing her is terrific. She is a complex character. Harshad is also doing a great job. There is an aura of mystery to him. Hopefully it’s not a phuski!

Kajol as a character is seriously naive. Hard to below that such girls exist in these times! That’s why I cannot connect with her character. Ishita is ok. Hopefully her character growth will enable her to shine too.

If I were to choose between Shreya and Kajol, 100% hands down Shreya because the flaws are more pertinent thus making the character more grey-shaded and better to choose from the latter. Takes damn guts to portray a character with shades of grey and meaty.

Kajol, just found to be too good for me or too much perfect in trying to be that obedient girl. She has her own share of flaws but I just feel she tries to overlook em thus embedded in her personality --- a lot of this stems from how the family tried to be that "perfect and bondable" family everyone imagines but somewhere or the other cracks are clearly visible.

For me, the problem tbh has lied in pacing and screenplay of the show to get to the crux of the story thereby making it too perfect for it to be true.

Shreya's character was written well. Her scenes with Arjun, Ayaan, Amrita, Chatterjee, Mukherjees and Kajol are equally engaging. She doesn't overdo anything and keeps everything balanced.

Regarding the pace, it is too slow. I hope they faster the pace. First week is full of bride seeking alliance. Second week is dowry torture. Third week was Anurag's entry and those drunken drama. Fourth week is extremely slow in those marriage proceedings... Fifth week is the cancellation and now the breaking point... They could have completed easily in 15 episodes... But...

I find Kajol's character hard to sympathize with. Yes, she is unmarried at 28. But she is the apple of the eye of her entire family, except Noyana. She is the fav child, everything revolves around her. Her father spent his entire life's savings for her marriage without thinking about his other kids. It's unrealistic, no sensible father would do that.

Kajol taking the family's responsibility is only her duty as an elder child. She owes it to them. I hope they don't turn it into some great sacrifice on her part.

I agree with you and I also believe that she was very weak in the sense that they had ample warnings about her father's health, she should have taken that seriously. Ishita is feeling the weakest link at this point because she is showing sudden Durga ma like expressions without proper transition. Another thing Kajol did not take responsibility before this, she weakly protested before Arjun that the demand for the car should be rescinded however there was no show of strength on her part. And suddenly she becomes this person with naari shakti. I hate the current track with the mother being pure poison but this again they are doing to make Kajol look victimised because a heroine must be perfect and has to have enemies. All the actors are great and my favourite Harshad Arora is playing upto the hype of his character and garnering palpable hate but somehow I feel that the most forced characters in the show are the two protagonists Kajol and Anurag. I hope they show more layers. I will continue watching the show for the character arc of Arjun and Arjun only. As he was the reason for my watching the show. I have liked Ishita Dutta in her other shows like Baazigar and Bepanah Pyaar and she is a great actress and she is doing a wonderful job here but I think the other actors are doing a much better job

Shreya's character is definitely sharp; the actress playing her is good because I think playing a darker /shadier character is always harder than playing the protoganist, Shreya dominates in scenes whether in her scornful gazes or dialogues..

I am wondering however what else is going on. Arjun warned Shreya to behave herself towards Kajol because Kajol was chosen for a reason.

So was Kakol chosen for her naiviety that Arjun marries her & continues to have an EMA with Shreya or there also something else we dont know of perhaps related to some sort of business??? Perhaps I am just over thinking things??

Anyway its good now that Nania has her claws into Arjun. She and Sherya will definitely have strong interactions 😃

Naina and Arjun are very similar in nature and both will ruin each other's life or become super evil couple together like Lydia Bennet and George Wickham from Pride and Prejudice. I don't know why but I do get a Lydia and Wickham vibe from these two.
