Written Update - June 9th 2010

The episode starts with the pooja preparations in full swing. Aayi asks Mugda to go give tea to Shree who's up on the terrace watching kids play cricket in the park ahead. Mugda comes there and tries to make small talk but Shree's still upset about last night's incident. During their discussion we find out that Shree is angry at his father and his obsession with cricket and blames his father for having to live in such an uncomfortably small residence. Shree's uncle won the bigger portion of the house in a court settlement because Baba was more interested in cricket at the time than the actual court case which is why now they all live in a comparatively small and inconvenient space. Baba hears Shree say this and Mugda realizes Baba's presence. She tactfully tries to diffuse the situation and Baba tells her that her mom is there to see her along with Devki, Mugda's younger sister. Baba and Mugda leave for downstairs.

Mugda meets with her mom and Devki, who says that she has an interview in the evening but decided to come help for the pooja in the morning. Aayi seems to be fond of Devki and it looks like Devki likes Nishi.

The pooja's starting but Aayi says they have to wait for Kaka Kaki (Baba's younger brother and his wife) who come in just at that time. Both Kaka and Kaki spend a good portion of their entry boasting about their wealth and rubbing salt on wounds so to speak. Finally Aayi asks them to come sit for pooja. Nishi too comes there and Devki gets happy seeing him there - until she realizes that Pragya is there with Nishi at which point she gets sad and almost jealous.

Throughout the pooja Pragya kept giving disgusted glances around the house and Aayi seemed to notice that and get weary of Pragya. Seems like Aayi does not like Pragya at first glance. While Mugda tried to get Pragya to "be a part of the house" and help out with the pooja, Aayi kept stepping in and asking Devki to help instead. At one point Aayi even hears Pragya complain to Nishi about Charu's diaper less state (because Charru pee-ed on Pragya) but then when Pragya sees Aayi she pretends like it didn't bother her and Aayi doesn't like that. Basically Pragya is in a constant state of competition with Devki, who seems to be Aayi favorite among the two.

While the food is being served Mugda tries making Aayi and Pragya sit together but they end up being awkward around each other so Mugda asks Pragya to help serve the guests. When Pragya gets to Kaki, she asks Pragya about her salary saying that whatever Pragya earns is soon going to be a part of the Kulkarni's household income. This shocked everyone and made Aayi and Devki very uncomfortable. Pragya tells Kaki that her income is 15000 rupees after which Aayi changes the topic and everyone moves on.

Finally it's time for everyone to leave so Nishi says he's going to go drop Pragya off, to which Kaki offers her car to him. Devki and Mugda's mom also express desire to leave as they don't want to be late for Devki's interview. Aayi suggests that Nishi drop them off too since he's taking the car but while Nishi agrees, Devki refuses. Finally Nishi leaves with Pragya and Devki and her mom leave on their own.

Throughout the trip home Pragya seems irritated and angry. When Nishi asks her what happened, she tells him that she doesn't want to to talk and that he should take her home quickly so she could change. At home while she goes to change, Nishi comes across her pay stub which says that Pragya's income is 25000 rupees and not 15000 rupees like she said at lunch. The episode ends with Nishi wondering why Pragya lied to everyone.

Precap - Aayi is telling Mugda that a girl that tries to build the foundation of as intimate a relationship as that of a husband and wife on the basis of a lie, cannot be her daugher-in-law. (I'm assuming she's talking about Pragya and her lie about her salary.)
