Ganesh and Thiru discuss about Sandhya meeting Ram in his office. Ganesh thinks Sandhya may have gone there to question Ram. Thiru disagrees and says, if Sandhya wanted to question Ram, she would have called him to the station. Better still, with the evidence given by Kasthuri, Sandhya cold have arrested Ram easily and sent him to jail but she did not do that. Thiru feels Sandya did not do anything to arrest Ram but now shows haste in getting Kasthuri arrested and taken to court for a crime she did not commit. Ganesh asks maybe Ram bribed Sandya with large amount of money but Thiru says Sandya does not take any bribe and there must be something else and he wants to find that out.

Kasthuri is taken to court and asked to take the stand. Kasthuri thinks about her conversation with Sandhya and is unable to answer any questions. She tells th judge she is unable to answer any questions at this time. The jusge rules that Kasthuri be sent to a psycharist for treatment and would be brought back to court and witnesses would be questioned at that time. Everyone is shocked but Ram is most happy to see Kasthuri taken away.

Sandhya goes home, changes and goes to her sister's gravevyard and flashback time: Sophia in her hostel room and looking at Thiru's photo. Her friend comes there and snatches the photograph. Sophia gets angry and takes the photo back and tells her friend she would not let anyone to touch even Thiru's photo as he is hers. The friend says that Thiru and Simi are getting married in Singapore the following week and how can she say such things. Sophia is shocked and asked when this happened because sa far as she knows, Thiru went to Singapore alone. Friend says both parents wanted the wedding to take place immediately and hence Simi going to Singapore with Thiru. Simi thinks for sometime and then call Thiru on his cell. Thiru and Simi are in Singapore. Thiru answers and Sophia tells Thiru she wants to see him immediately. Thiru says it is not posisble as he is in Singapore and both he and Simi are getting married. Sophia tells Thiru he cannot get married to Simi but must get married to her on the same day. Thiru tells her she is his friend and respects her as such but she should not expect him to listen to her. Sophia warns if he does not return immediately she would die. Thiru tells her to calm down and think for a minute and she would see that he is right and disconnects. Sophia gets angry throws her phone down and goes upstairs. THODARUM.

Sophia goes to the top floor and jumps down and kills herself. Her dorm mates run out to see Sophia's body lying in a pool of blood. Sandhya and her adopted mother arrive and see Sophia dead. The mother cries and dies due to heart attack -end of flashback. Sandya gets up from the grave and goes home. Bharath getting ready to go to work. Mangai comes there and asks about Kasthuri. Bharath tells her Kasthuri is still in jail as they could not get her out on bail. Mangai wants to go visit Kasthuri and her sister Jayanthi. The talk somehow goes to finding a groom for Jayanthi. Bharath tells her Jayanthi does not want to get married now and for Mangai to give her about 2 years. Mangai persists but Bharath tells her to leave that problem to him and he will take care of it and leaves for work.

Thiru meets Kasthuri in jail and asks her about what happened. Kasthuri just tells him to go back to Singapore with Kavya immediately. Thiru asks her why and Kasthuri says if they are here, Kavya is in danger. Thiru wants to talk to Sandhya but Kasthuri tells him no need for that.

Thiru asks why and Kasthuri says that Sandhya is not a nice person as they thought. Thiru then asks Kasthuri what Sandhya asked her dueting the 3 days of investigation. Kasthuri refuses to answers but after Thiru insists, Kasthuri tells him that Sandhya told her to admit to the crime or write a statement that she will not marry Thiru. Thiru is shocked. He wonders what is the motive behind it. Kasthuri says it is impossible that Ram did everything himself. Thiru then decides that Sandhya has a hand in Rekha's murder and is in cohuts with Ram. He is confused as to the motive. He also feels that she had taken bribe from Ram. Kasthuri then says that Sandya threaten to kill Kavya if Kasthuri does not agree to this. Thiru is determine to find out what is happening. A lady in yellow top, jeans and carryign some files walking along a busy road. A blind man is trying to cross the road on the other side. Looks like new addition to the Kasthuri clan. THODAUM.

Thiru sees Sophia and is shocked, he asks how and what happened. Sandhya tells Thiru Sophia is her sister and that Thiru is responsible for Sophia's condition. Thiru is confused and asked how. Sandhya tells him he is the last person she spoke with and when she told him she will commit suicide, he did not bother to even save her. Thiru explains he was in Singapore and not in India to help her. Thiru also explains that Sophia might have loved him, but he did not. Sandhya says that is immaterial because he was the cause for her mother's death and Sophia's mental state.

Flashback - Sandhya rushes her sister and mother to the hospital. The doctors tell Sandhya they could only save Sophia's life but she is mentally unstable. The doctors tells tell Sandhya to be happy that her sister is still alive. Sandhya wants to go and tell her mother and rushes to her room,. On the way, Sandya passes an orderly pushing a gurney with a dead body. She goes to her mother's room and see the bed empty and asks the nurse where her mother is. The nurse tells her she died and the body she passed just now is her mother. Sandhya is shocked.

Sandhya asks Thiru what he is going to do about her sister's future. Thiru tells her he can only sympathize and feels sorry for her. Sandhya says she dos not need his sympathy but wants him to marry her. Thiru is shocked and says how can he marry Sophia when he is to marry Kasthuri. Sandya says she does not care about all that. Thiru now understands that Sandhya is the one who had buried Rekha's body in Kasthuri's backyard and everything else. He tells Sandhya she cannot do such things just because she is a policewoman. Sandhya is not ready to listen to all this.

Thiru meets a psychiatrist, Parimala and asks about further treatment for Sophia. Doctor tells him that they have tried everything but could not heal her. Thiru asks if she can be cured if taken overseas. Doctors says treatment is available in India and what Sophia needs now is love and care. Thiru thanks her and leaves.

Soma goes to Sandhya's house and gives her some keys. He says the keys are to hisbungalow bank locker and everything else. Sandhya refuses to accept them and tells him he was not there when they needed him but now want sto give her wealth when she does not need it. Soma then asks to see his younger daughter but Sandhya tells him she will let him see her when the time comes. Soma asks Sandya to come live with him but she refuses him saying she will come only if he can bring her mother back. Soma keeps quiet. Soma then says he heard that Sandhya has his manager locked up somewhere. He wasks her to release him. Sandhya refuses saying she is holding him for some reasons and will release him when she wants to and leaves. Soma is left thinking. THODARUM.

Sandhya explains to Soma how she had planned to transfer Rekha's body to Kasthuri's backyard. She had sent Ram to talk to his mother and how Jothi had informed Ram about them going to the temple and would come back only the next day. She and Ram had taken Radha to the hospital that day and after admitting Radha to the hospital, they had transferred Rekha's body. She tells Soma the only way to stop the wedding from taking place ever is by blaming Kasthuri for Rekha's murder and she did that. Sandya says she had read the Geetha and the Bible and had followed what it said. She then will resign from the police force for taking the law into her own hands after Thiru-Sophia wedding takes place. Soma asks Sandhya to give him a chance to take care of Thiru-Sophia wedding. Sandhya agrees.

Soma meets Thiru and asks him to marry Sophia to cure her. Thiru is surprised to know that Sophia is Soma's daughter but says he cannot marry Sophia. He says he has to marry Kasthuri for the sake of his daughter. Soma brings out his property documents and tries to entice Thiru. Thiru says he does not want Soma's wealth and says he has told Sandhya he cannot marry Sophia. Soma says once Thiru marries Sophia, Kasthuri will be released. Thiru still does not agree but Soma asks him to think about it and leaves.

Masil goes to jail to meet Kasthuri and cries at her condition. He says he has done a lot of good things and why all this is happening to them. He tells Kasthuri he knows that Ram killed Rekha but does not know how to get Kasthuri out of this mess. He then tells Kasthuri if and when he dies, he does not whant his last rites done by a murderer. Kasthuri is shocked at this outburst. THODARUM.

Update for Thursday, June 25, 2009:


Opening scene: Kavya lying down on Thiru's lap. She refuses to eat dinner until Thatha comes home. Thiru calls Ganesh to see if he knows where Masil is, G says he met M at the temple in the morning. He says M was very depressed over the Kasthuri affair (who wouldn't be, this is the second actress who is playing the role, and both ended up in jail!) and didn't want to return home. In the meantime, Soma comes to Thiru's house, and since all these serial people leave their front doors open, comes in and then apologizes for intruding on his privacy! Then he tells Thiru to marry his daughter, Sophia, and Thiru says that Kavya only looks at Kasthuri as her mother and will never accept Sophia. My question here - shouldn't Thiru, if he has any brains, figure out at this point that if Sophia is Soma's daughter, and Sandhya's sister, then here is where the conspiracy comes in. Anyway, Soma gives Thiru one week to decide.

Bharath is talking to Jayanthi (another unnecessary scene), asking her why she has returned to the village. She says her pregnancy has started to show and soon Amritha will guess, so she had to return. She comes up with the usual stuff that she wants to run away and so on, then Bharath says that her mother and sister will grieve forever, but she is certain that they will look for her for some time and then give up and go on with their lives (at least they have that much sense). Mangai and her friend come down the road at that time, the friend sees J and B talking, points it out to M, who comes up and asks J what she is doing there. J says she is waiting for her friend, and M asks B to bring J, once she meets her friend. M and her friend leave, but the friend is still suspicious of B and J, so she keeps looking at them.

Ganesh comes home and brings food for Jothi. Can't the woman do any cooking? She says she doesn't want it and asks Ganesh to eat it. She says she is worrying about her husband (then why aren't you with him?), but G says that he met M in the temple and he refused to go to G's place. G advises Jothi to go and live with her husband but she refuses to go and live in Kasthuri's house. She defends her darling son, Ram, as always. Finally, G gives up and takes the food inside and hopefully, he eats it. Jothi sheds some crocodile tears.

Masil goes to the temple, which is shut. He sits there and for the next four minutes, we are treated by EK and TK to a replay of various scenes from the past, Kasthuri's wedding, her becoming the head of a computer company, her being attacked in jail, returning as the new Kasthuri, being sent to jail in her wedding clothes, etc., etc.,

Jothi tells Ganesh to eat tiffin (yesterday's left overs?) and does aarathi for God. The kumkumam falls, and she and Ganesh are stunned. Right then, the screen shifts to Masil, who seems to be lifeless! He was my last hope for sanity in this show, and it looks like he has kicked the bucket!

Friday special people - RKO...

Scene continues from yesterdays.. kumkumam falls down, Jothi feels that something must be wrong with Masil mama. Ganesh tries to say the kumkumam must have fallen down because she did not eat anything the earlier night and she must be weak. (oru night saapidalana kumkuma chimizh thookka mudiyaadha... nalla comedy panreengayya) But our azhumoonji Jothi negates and says she must visit Masil mama wherever he is. Ganesh who says has some work in the bank is told to put off the work. He promises to take AMJ once he gets back in 10 minutes time.

Scene shifts to Ram with a few files in his hand looking at Pensive Radha sitting in the living room, with a sly smile. Vittufies burudaa that he is starting a trust in Rekha's name and Radha should sign the first cheque for Rs.10 lakhs. Radha blindly signs and also tells her maapillai to get a POA done, so that he can take care of everything. As usual Ram says that Radha should be the MD for the company which Annamalai and Rekha cherished. Same time a temple priest and two other fellows come to Ram and say that Masil mama fell unconscious in the temple and they have admitted him in the hospital. He is in the ICU. Since the priest did not have the phone number they came to inform in person. (cant one find the telephone number with the address) Ram and Radha leave everything as it is and rush.

Ram comes to AMJ and tells her of the news. She vikki vikki cries, and tells Ram about the kumkumam falling incident. Meanwhile Ganesh comes and again is told of all the mishaps and they all rush to the hospital - as usual leaving the house open !!

At the hospital doctors try to revive Masilamani. Outside Ram, Radha, Ganesh and Jothi wait. Jothi meanwhile is orey crying. Radha keeps pacifying her annanukku onnum aagaadhu... Ram remembers telling his dad off. After sometime the doctors give up and come out of the ICU and tell the inevitable news to the family. (Actually it was funny the doctor and two nurses were standing in a line to convey this news !!) udaney Jothi starts the friday special. She rolls on the floor crying enna vittutu pOiteengale.. ( yov...TK ivangallukkum heart attack solli annupuyyaa) Ram and Ganesh make her sit on the chair and she is continuing the RKO....

Kasthuri, Mangai, Bharath and Thiru are at the Police Inspector's house to ask permission for Kasthuri to pay her last respects to Masil. The Inspector tells them it is impossible because the rules have been changed and the jailors are more strict now. Kasthuri falls at hte Inspector's feet and begs him.

The Inspector tells her to wait while he checks with his superior and goes in. His wife comes there and tells him to send Kashturi to pay her last respects because and she will return soon after. She says Kasthuri seems like a good and innocent person. Inspector asks her how she knows and she says that a women knows another. The Inspector comes out at tells her she can go but to return soon after the last rites. Kasthuri and Mangai are taken in the Police jeep while Thiru and Bharath follow in a car behim them, On the way the car breaks down. Thiru stops a car passing by and gets a ride there. Bharath stays behind to repair the car.

Vishu comes to pay his last respects and another opari. Ram is kadu kadu with Visu's visit. Ganesh calls Thiru and asks where they are. Thiru asks him to stall until them arrive and they will be there in an hour. The police jeep arrives and Kasthuri gets out with the police. Ram sees her and stops her telling her to go away and she cannot see her. Kasthuri at first begs him to let her see MAsil but Ram tells her off and shoves her. Kasthuri says no one can stop her and walks forward. Vishu and Ganesh come there and try to get KAsthuri in but Jothi too comes there and says Kasthuri cannot see Masil. All this while the police are just watching without doing anything. Thiru arrives and tells Ram he cannot stop anyone who wants to pay their last repsects. Kasturi tells Jothi about Masil's wish that she does the last rites but Jothi tells her off saying that cannot be because Masil is not an orphan and has a son. Kasthuri says no matter what Jothi will not believe her but it is the truth

A senior citizen comes there and asks who she is and why all the commotion. He says Masil is a very respectable man and his last rites must be carried out without any problem. Kasthuri tries to tell him she is Masil's DIL but the man says he knows Kasthuri well. Ram tells the man that he doesn't know who she is. Vishu tries to explan about the facial transplant but the villager doe not believe him. Ram pushes everyone out and tells her to get lost and goes in to prepare for Masil's last rites. Kashturi cries because she cannot fulfil Masil's last wishes. Thiru tells her that Masil knows about her and his family and that she will always has her blessing. Kasthuri still cries and her father tries to console her. THODARUM.
