My mother didn't change. 😛 She doesn't include my father's name in her last name as well. I don't think there is anything wrong in it. Do guys change? No eh? Why are women alone expected to give so much importance to husband?😆

was thingking actually why probs kept comng in the old house..Prob because anand had paid the advance..remember in the hospital, anand's father says he will get advance money from anand...no wonder...anand wud hv given with stomach burning...

still guess TT need to have one to one exchange of apologies with analysis of how things went wrong..

today may be deepa's house ..wonder if T attends college before milk boiling or after..waiting to see that..as well as T comng to know of deepa's suspension...and K"s matter...

Well, Shamz, it is true that like in Germany, in most Western countries like US, it is customary for the girls to change their surnames after marriage-- from maiden name to their husband's family name. Most documents clearly mention abt maiden names and family names separately! Also, I have noticed that surnames are very important in these countries as well as in Northern India unlike initials that we have in the South, esp in TN. As for initials, these are from the first letter of the father's name and not the family name! So there is a difference when we say an initial and a family surname. It is purely tradition and individual's choice when it comes to changing one's surname. Well, it is women who wear Mangalyam in south (esp TN) after marriage and not men and so we cannot argue why only women shud change their names after marriage. It is just a matter of customs followed since long in US/Western countries! May be T thought she is signing the div doc!! I'm sure she would change her name and would like to be known as TA's wife rather than retaining her maiden name in the future as per ur wish.
