@ bold - completely agree. there was a time when the cvs have tried to explain every single twist they have shown. but now they dish out what ever comes to their mind without caring to explain how it happened. once i loved this show for how much sense it made and the time they spent to create a story about vampires with logic like dayrings, witches and even they showed how the original vampires came into existense.

now they just show body swaps, invent new terms like travellers , augustine and if not enough they introduce doppleganger after doppleganger.

Honestly, I agree. I don't even know what's going on this season. Like the travellers, where did that even come from? And the augustine thing, I still have a bit of hope left for this storyline but only if they can somehow try to explain it and make it more interesting like how they used to do for previous storylines, I think it could still have some potential if they handle it properly.

Exactly. The Augastine track has potential, if handled properly but they way things are going, I don't have high hopes. All the tracks this season have been half baked and so many things are happening.

Earlier they used to focus on thing and give it a proper treatment...like S2 was about the finding the moonstone and then Klaus' entry, S3 focused on the originals...heck,even S4 had a proper story line with finding the cure and stuff.

Yeah, they all fit together in a good-storytelling way. Now I have no idea how Wes/Augustine stuff is connected to the travellers, and what was up with that new girl from last episode? The one that showed up in Wes' lab? I think her name was Sloanne or something. She literally came out of nowhere.

In my opinion, they need to tie up this traveller nonsense with Katherine/Elena etc, and then focus on the Augustine stuff if they want to. They should do one thing at a time. And the ships are all messed up with the current storylines; delena, stelena, steferine, datherine, klaroline, steroline, forwood. The only stable couple right now is Beremy to be honest.

I really really hope they fix this.
