Man it has been soo long since we were both online at the same time.

ugh, I do not need Caroline to like Damon or anything but when she spends an entire episode being a total Stefan cheerleader and acting more like Stefan's bestfriend rather than Elena's and says things like "Damon is always wrong" and trying to make Elena feel bad about loving Damon all the while when she is busy totally falling for Klaus and his pony and hummingbird (seriously, show, Klaus makes me weep and not in a good way) loving ways I just want to smack her silly. I really hope next time she finds herself captured and in danger, Damon doesn't lift a finger and "operation save Caroline" is left to Stefan -her favorite person on this planet...

So, Stefan, Mr. "my one big fault that got heightened when I turned is that I care too much", Mr. "Damon doesn't care for anyone else but I do" decided he'll just go on a hunting trip in a hospital for someone "suitable" (I believe criminals and terminally ill people are on his 'totally fine to kill' list), then make them turn using Jeremy as a donor, and then force Jeremy into killing them despite the fact Damon actually told him they should look for another hunter and not mess with Jeremy unless he turns into Connor v.2 (which he did!) because he just can not stand this Elena and the fact she chose Damon over him and needs to fix this all (though I think by this he may also be referring to his own life in general and how he'd love to be cured of his vampirism too) ASAP and everything else be damned. I must say that is a new low he hit for me, right there, and I don't even have that high an opinion of Stefan... The thing with Stefan is, his most awful behavior usually comes after he takes the time to calmly plan them out, it is so deliberate.

The "sire bond" thing doesn't make much sense to me and I couldn't help but think Caroline and Stefan were just too desperate to come up with an explanation for Elena's behavior (loving Damon) which they just can not "accept". I do believe the show will play around with it for a while, though in the end I expect it to be proven to be nothing and just another "haha, I made you all think something was true/happening but actually it wasn't" twist that Julie Plec loves so much. That, or it is one of the biggest plot holes this show has ever produced.

For one thing, Elena did not kill Conor because Damon ordered her to. It looked like she was going to let the man go if he only promised to leave Jeremy go. Instead, he staked her and so she killed him. It is called self-defense.

Also, the "Elena can't drink blood from animals/blood bags because Damon told her she shouldn't" bit doesn't make much sense. I am not sure if Damon actually gave her direct orders to never drink from animals or blood bags, but I do know he gave her his own wrist to feed on, saying that may be a cure for her condition and she couldn't keep that in either. And he also gave her a blood bag himself for her to drink from, and she couldn't keep that in too. So, why wouldn't those work, if we are to think Elena just does whatever Damon tells her now.

And didn't she "disobey" Damon a number of times already this season? Like when Damon initially told her not to go after Connor?

Elena going for the red dress? Well, Damon was right about it, for one thing, and April won and it is perfectly possible that Elena decided Damon has a point about it when he pointed out "you lost when you wore the blue dress" etc. And her not answering Caroline when she grilled her on why she changed her mind can be attributed to Elena having more important things to think about (like her "triangle drama!) than some stupid dress! April also said she cared about Damon's opinion and seemed to value it. Doesn't mean she is sired.

But even if there proves to be sire bond for real, however lame it is, I don't think it means Elena's feelings for Damon are not real. She clearly had them in S3, and made a "choice" between the brothers in the finale only because she had to. Those feelings didn't just go away because she made a choice. Also, Damon never asked Elena to break things up with Stefan, actually last episode he was the one who kept telling her it was Stefan she should be talking to and that she should call Stefan etc (another thing she just "disobeyed"), that decision is Elena's own for sure. And this episode, he is not the one who told her to sleep with him or move in to the Salvatore house etc. Again her own decisions. Besides sire bond -as we know it- is supposed to be about "gratefulness" and loyalty that comes from it. I think the scene with the hybrids breaking the bond underlined this again. It doesn't give one romantic feelings etc.

LOL! As wrote I thought it was such a cheap trick but I also loved it. Because for the first time everyone including the professional critics are really mad with the writers including JP for this stunt in order to continue the tiring a$$ of a triangle. Everyone is sympathizing with us DE fans (finally).

The main reason why I loved it was the DEx scene( they can say sire bond was the reason but I saw Elena dominating Damon in that love scene…you go girl😆) . God it was the hottest sex scene in tv history. I had to rewatched it on YT without SC voiceovers and cutbacks.
