Katherine triggering off Stefan's humanity?!... Flawed!!! 😕
First of all Katherine and Stefan could have helped Damon (saved him) by defending him against the hybrids after he killed Klaus. Wasn't that the point of the wolfsbane grandes?! Since we know originals can compel hybrids... Mikael could have helped with that. They could have tipped Damon off and gotten Bonnie to give them aneurysms...
Besides wouldn't the compulsion wear off the hybrids with Klaus' death??
But in their so called attempt of saving Damon, Mikael died(leaving no way of killing Klaus) and Damon currently tops Klaus' hit list. Stefan would be free of the compulsion either way.
Lets not take away credit from Stefan but even under compulsion we all know Stefan doesn't want Damon to die (last week confirmed that 3x08) ..I only wish they could do it in a way which would have a stronger impact like in 02x22.
Coming to the things I loved--- The originals👏
I love the father/daughter father/stepson play off... The scene between Klaus and Mikael at the Lockwood's doorstep... woah!!! beautifully done. Klaus despite being more powerful than Mikael wouldn't dare step out. It's a shame Sebastian Roche only got to play such a small part cause he was doing such a good job... Joseph Morgan (I'm glad Klaus is not dead😃) did so good as usual.
Claire Holt did brilliantly while she portrayed the delicate side of the Rebecca we weren't fully familiar with (hopefully someone is gonna pull out that dagger real soon) ...😊
Damon and Elena---
I love how their bond grows stronger by the day. She didn't even remotely hesitate before she told him she trusts him (despite his recklessness and impulsive nature- she doesn't doubt his intentions one bit)... I love how Damon is still hell bent upon keeping her safe and out of the picture if necessary.
The last scene--- There was nothing romantic about it and that's what made it real and pure. He was grieving because he failed to reunite Stefen with Elena and as well as with himself. Damon walks away credit less because nothing he does for Stefan or Elena is loud or show-offy ... and that's where they hold on to the selfless essence of his character.
No point speculating--- we'll just have to wait the hiatus to find out what's in store😳!!!
