Mystic Musings
S3E08: Ordinary People
Finally got down to watching the episode. This Musings won't be long because really, that episode had me just – happy, especially the end.

Family Ties: The Salvatore Edition
I love Elena acknowledging that it will be Stefan's love for Damon that ultimately saves him. As much as I adore Stefan's love for Elena, and hers for him, I think truly, if they have Stefan breaking through of this compulsion to save his brother? That would be the best thing the show will ever have done.
All the StefanDamon scenes in this episode were amazing. Their snarkiness, Damon being out-Damon-ed by Stefan, Damon not wanting to acknowledge that he worries about Stefan and wants him back – everything. Though if I have to choose a favourite scene between the two of them it would be Stefan panicking when Michael/Mikael has his hand in Damon's chest and is threatening to pull it out.
It's plain on Stefan's face that he cannot bear to lose Damon, lose his big brother. After all, he did force Damon to turn because he wanted his big brother with him. Even when Damon believes that Klaus' compulsion will hold, Stefan proves him wrong.
But then Stefan's emotions get switched off again and he goes and pisses Damon off. I was mad for all of a minute when Damon kicks Stefan's butt (Stefan's face when he's lying on the road makes me think he's trying not to cry – making me wonder whether when it comes to his brother, his emotions fight through even more), then Damon looks all pensive and sad when he's talking to Elena so he's feeling bad and he wants his little brother back as bad as Elena wants Stefan back.
Can I just say this DamonElena scene was so sweet? They are good friends. Yes, I don't ship them romantically, but this scene right here? It shows how much they get each other, and their friendship is beautiful in this scene.
Family Ties: The Original Edition
Original Witch – Witch of the Original Family? I NEVER thought of that. Brilliant. (And finally, a witch on this show who isn't black.) [A little sad about the fact that a witch can never be a vampire, there goes Bonnie being turned someday.]
The flashback sequences were stunning. There are more of the siblings though right? Because Rebekah said they split up, but she, Klaus and Elijah stayed together – meaning there are more siblings. Also, Klaus has many coffins. How many more siblings are there?
Mikael/Michael scares me. More than any other force on this show. And now I basically want Rebekah to befriend Caroline/Bonnie/Elena so she won't be alone. The end scene with her crying after finding out everything she knew about Klaus was a lie – or at least what she believed about the death of her mother.
Famous Last Words
I kinda ship Alaric/Bonnie. More than I ship Matt/Bonnie anyway. Since we don't have a Meredith, I wouldn't mind Ric and Bonnie if Jeremy and Bonnie don't work things out.
Rebekah and Stefan on the side of the good guys, for now. Glad for that. But what is Rebekah going to do about Tyler now?
