What keeps you hooked?

Hi People, not many would know me since I'm new to this forum. Sneha's the name. :)

So, we've all been watching Vampire Diaries for three seasons now. What keeps you hooked still? Most of the newness wears out after a while, but what is that factor that has kept you going so far? What makes you want to log in or switch on the TV every Thursday night? What makes TVD different and worth watching for you? Would you stop watching if it got less interesting, even if the actors remained the same?

And please people, no classics like: Ian/Stefan/Nina, or Stelena, or Delena? We all know all that craze for the actors or star couples. Let's be more creative. 😆

Firstly, it has to be Stefan for me. I watch this show regularly every Thursday to see Stefan on my screen :D

But then, its the story nd the characters. Im a Stelena fan, but that doesnt mean i will dislike an episode where there was no SE. Beremy, Janna, Forwood, DK .. every couple makes me hooked to this show. Isobel, Lexi, Pearl nd ofcourse the whole originals' family .. the directors make this show so believable that i wont really be shocked if some Stefan or Damon walks into my life (i'll die of happiness though :P 😆) .. So yeah, its the show on the whole. I dont think i have ever hated any character on TVD !

I started watching it because of Damon/Delena but now I love Stelena too.. Its actually the first Vampire show I am watching and I am so hooked to it!
I think it's because of the story and the way its being portrayed, and more than that its the Salvatore brothers.. the bond they share is so deep and amazing!

the storyline does it for me...I was instantly hooked by the show during the pilot because of the supernatural element...BUT the crazy story line is the thing that makes me love the show even more, I mean look where they came from...the triangle love story between the show's protagonists to witches,werewolves,ghosts and Originals. Then come the characters...Damon being the main reason and then Stefan, Caroline, Elena and Klaus

They keep on bringing in new twists constantly that keeps the freshness intact... like actually bringing Katerina out...earlier they just used to show flash backs that she existed, then they brought Klaus and his wrath... then they introduced the entire Original family.

So the story is not just Damon-Elena-Stefan throughout the whole seasons... it has other stories in it as well!!

What keeps me hooked is the intricate details.

Even though the show is about supernatural elements, they show so much detail it makes it realistic.

Adding new characters, and the introduction of the original family and how vampires came to be made the story all the more interesting.

This is the only western show I watch- the only other western supernatural known to me is Twilight- and this seems so much more interesting. Of what I have seen of Twilight, it is just about a love triangle between a human, werewolf and vampire.

Vampire Diaries is about vampires, werewolves, hybrids, ghosts, doppelgangers and they are all put together in a way that connects them and shows their background and how everything came to be.

No jokes, he is the sole reason i watch the show, the way he plays Damon is just beyond words, i've never seen such a broken character, yet always seems to have fun and just enjoys the life he is in. And obviously i ship DE now, their chemistry is just wow, there's so much between them, and they could be such a gorgeous couple. But dayumm, Ian's the reason i started watching the show <3 And now i am hooked

For me it's Damon character got me hooked then the brothers and storylines. Now Klaus and original family of vampires.

you know this is possibly the only show that I watch for every single storyline and character in it...be it caroline-tyler or elena-damon-stefan-klaus, or bitchy katherine or anybody else...

I love this show for every single one of its storylines... and characters..
