So in short here what almas and I am trying to say.
here what you need to know about klaus.
He was born out of an affair. And his mother prohibited his real father from stepping up into his son life since it would destroy her relationship with her husband.
Also if klaus killed someone he would become a werewol. Every full moon and hence her secret would be out. So she made a spell as she was a witch which made him weak. So that even by chance he won't kill anyone since he will end up getting beat up instead
That made him look like an weakling to mikael and hence he physically abused him for being weak. Hence klaus adopted Marcel once he saw Marcel abused by his father.
To add that klaus indirectly got his youngest sibling killed because he was attracted to see werewolf when they turn. He blamed himself for it but still mikael resentment towards him grow each day.
Just like now elijah would simply remain silent when klaus was the only one abused in his family. Just like how elijah remain quiet now because elijah feel the guilt that if only he stepped up for his brother when he was human he wouldn't have turned out to be a monstar
This all happened when he was still a human. Next post I let you know what happened after he was turned into a vampire.
