Claire Holt is not coming back as regular but might be there for few episodes or something...she herelf said that she never expected to play Rebekah's role for so long and due to the show she had been away from her family for almost 3 years so she needed some break...it's not yet confirmed when she will come back but it's definitely not in season 1...her come back will mostly depend on where and when Rebekah will be needed in the story ...even i miss Rebekah a lot but in one way i am happy with her exit because Rebekah will finally get to live a happy and independent life
