You got it right, in life we go running behind things that we haven't got and in Kiya's case its love and affection which she now gets from KD. So she keeps KD ahead of anything else in her life.

But KD is right too, this is the time for them to focus and build their careers, so Kiya should focus on that, otherwise we will remain lagging behind and the time wont come back.
