that's a rather good question. So far, we've seen only a massive progression from RV's side but in Panchi's absence. Her current thought process is still unknown to us. How they will shape up or what possible conflicts will be in their story majorly depend upon Panchi's character upon her return. We all are speculating that she won't be the same Panchi after her return.
Yesterday on another thread the discussion turned towards scenario post Panchi's return. My speculation is that Panchi might not be a staunch believer in love now. Not a cynic but definitely not up for being in another relationship. See the history, she fell for RV but stopped when she saw no future. Got over him. Fell for another guy who broke her trust, not once but twice and didn't even feel bad about it. She is moving on from him. She can't just jump in another relationship now, logic hi nahin banta.
Which, I think, is the perfect conflict. It's no fun in a drama if a guy is in love with the girl who loves him, they confess and all is hunky dory. Conflict tou chaiye! Abhi ke liye even RV doesn't realize his feelings and is in a relationship with Rukmini. First, RV has to accept his feelings for Panchi. Then situation has to be that Panchi has to reciprocate those feelings. Then there's this conflict of Rukmini as well. Avi might try getting Panchi back for his ego or whatever. Damn it, RaHi are far from official 😳
