am I the only one who feels that their friendship is very much logical?

I agree that my indifference towards YaRa used to incline more on the dislike that I felt for them but not any more. I didn't see a few episodes post Opening Ceremony track but I saw a few topics which said that YaRa were being shown as negative. Khair, before the accident track, I didn't like YaRa. that time, they did feel illogical and out of the blue to me. Not anymore. It's all cuz of character development.

Ranveer has become calmer and maturer in his approach towards situations, be it any. Be it his wanting to make Panchi feel better through the hands of others (Samar), giving sincere suggestion to his enemy or acting like that kind of friend who is all ears for someone and takes it as his duty to cheer up his friends (Kiya).

For Kiya I'd always say that her initial Kiya Gujral avatar is what she truly is but even then, she had vulnerable sides. She never had a true friend. I've noticed that when she gets the vibes of true friendship from someone, it doesn't take long for her to open herself. First, it was evident with KD. Now, it's with Ranveer.

I don't stand by this logic that both are going through same stuff. No, both are not going through same stuff. Yeah, it does seem like that they are currently abandoned by their best friends but situations are so different. With Kiya, there is an issue of betrayal. With Ranveer, he brought it upon himself and is going through major guilt cum remorse trips. Had there been no Banga rules, Kiya wouldn't have cried like that in front of Ranveer. Had it been anyone other than Kiya in the canteen, Ranveer still would've followed that person. The thing is, Kiya was overwhelmed when Ranveer asked what's wrong with her. It happens in real life as well! There are times when I'm all annoyed and frustrated and vent them out through getting all angry on things and people. At that time, if my friend would ask me what's wrong...I do start crying helplessly.

I could so connect to Kiya, for the first time, when she cried and hugged Ranveer and poured her heart out in front of him. Had it been the old Ranveer, he wouldn't have paid attention but he has grown. He has learned that people are not to be taken granted, everyone has feelings and they are to be appreciated. He has learned it the hard way, by being at the verge of losing his most special person in life...that kinda lesson just doesn't go away. He knows that Kiya is depressed, so much so that she might start acting suicidal. But he values life. Right now, the only thing in his mind is to pull Kiya out of that lonely sphere of sadness she has gotten herself into. And if he can do that by acting all harmless flirty with her, inviting her to coffee dates, that's nothing wrong. Yeah, from one angle it could seem all sudden and, "Arey! Ye kya hogaya?!" type of a scenario but individually, if we observe YaRa's characters, they are at that point of life where it seems all natural.

No, I don't think Ranveer has forgotten about Panchi but he is helpless about her. When she isn't ready to listen, what is he supposed to do? Of course his biggest wish is to get his Moti back but he can't go all Majnu and start chanting, "Panchi, I'm sorry!" 24x7! Life throws many balls at us at once and we have to deal with them all...for now, as a human and as an acquaintance if not a friend, he feels it's upto him to give Kiya a reason to smile and forget her worries. She trusts him and he is standing true to her trust. Not to forget, he called her "Bacha". You just don't call anyone your Bacha unless you feel extremely close and protective of that person. Protective being the key word. He is just protecting her, that's all.

All this could easily be misunderstood but if we take a few minutes out and think about their individual positions, it becomes clear they are just friends. Their personal prejudices regarding each other in the past never allowed them to get close but once they saw each other at their weakest point, naturally they got close. They just clicked!

Whew! Long essay likh dala :P

(I had posted this as a comment in another thread but amiee said this was enough to make a topic...frankly, I agree. Anyway, just my thoughts on YaRa 😳)

HAILA!! Long essay!! ☺️ I love it!! especially this one point you said-

"There are times when I'm all annoyed and frustrated and vent them out through getting all angry on things and people. At that time, if my friend would ask me what's wrong...I do start crying helplessly."

Absolutely correct statement this is!! I myself has gone through this stage numerous times and i could connect to the YaRa scene shown day before yesterday!!
Kiya Gujral found an unexpected friend in Ranveer. And so did Ranveer. Because of his problem with Panchi, RV now values friendship more and this was really evident in yesterday's scene. Because this is the real RV!! No attitude, no flirtatious attitude but i feel this is the real RV. He knows how it is to feel lonely and knew that Kiya was going through a really depressing phase of life.
Kiya i must say is the most vulnerable character of the show. Maybe because of her family or because she doesnt have any friends to share her true character. The only person who got close enough was Juhi. And so when someone offers their hand for friendship like Maisyyy said she starts trusting them more than herself.
After almost losing his best buddy RV has matured a lot and so now he knows how to value friendship and that's exactly what he is doing now!! So i dont think the recent YaRa scenes are illogical at all.

I think Panchi and Kiya are the only people Ranny can show his true self!! Atleast for time being😳
Phew finaally over!!! OMG did i just write this much?? 😲

YaRa never once seemed illogical to me except pre accident
But even then I never thought of them as illogical.
I didn't like RV taunting KD but YaRa seemed okay.
Right the way you put it Mais, they are good for each other.
I have this nagging fear in mind that RV is reverting to his older self.
Asking Kiya on a coffee date and all.
But then our Rockstar has mellowed down.
He is more mature.
And besides Kiya would catch it if his intention was wrong.
She is smart enough (though emotions can make one vulnerable)
YaRa , I think are genuine.
Hope they get the deserved place.
Oh and I agree about RaHi.
RV doesn't need to be a majnu.

YaRa doesn't seem so random n sudden now...guess we were too fixated on all the MU's to take notice🤔
And finally someone who said that YaRa are not going through the same phase...in fact it is RanSh n KiyAn who are...RanSh coz they betrayed their buddies n KiyAn as they were betrayed by those whom they least expected it!
Just wanted to add that YaRa are both deprived of the love from their family...another common point between them😊
Awesome post👏

see, KiSha are defo end game. There are no two thoughts on that. My purpose of this post (essay) was that the friendship that YaRa are sharing now isn't all sudden and out of the blue and that it actually makes sense. They are just friends. I dunno why people are getting scared or insecure only over a friendship 😕 I was hoping with this post people will just enjoy seeing their friendship and not worry that they'd fall for each other or anything...because in all senses, all YaRa have is friendship. Casual friendship between a guy and a girl! 😊

Woah PPM! Itna likha! Aur itna spot on likha?! 😲 CC is proud of you! 😎

I was going through posts where people said that YaRa seem very sudden to them. This was just my POV that YaRa are very much logical...of course, just my POV. Anyone can disagree 😆

Maybe the lack of connection was the reason I never liked YaRa before but now they make so sense to me! I'm so glad Kiya cried when Ranveer asked what's wrong with her...I can't tell you just how real it felt! The realness of the characters, that's what TBP's USP is! I was missing it but it just exploded in that scene! I can connect to Kiya now, after all these months finally I can do so. And finally I can see logic-backed actions taken by Ranveer! It's all about character development...and what fine character development 😳

Ranveer can show his softer side to others as well but he gotta trust them enough 😆 He will do so, dekhna one day, he'd be the truest friend of the TBP gang 😳

YaRa had such a prejudiced hatred towards each other that they could never click for me 😆 That's why I never thought much on their potential. But now, they just fit together very nicely. And I have to make it clear so I dont get jootas thrown at, I mean as friends. They are such nice friends 😳

Oh no no no no no no NO! Don't even think about thinking that Ranveer is trying to get cozy with Kiya or he is flirting with her or wants to marao chance on her. He has no bad intentions, ye likh lo! He is just being a caring friend! He has matured, he reads people now...at least tries to. He has realized that Kiya's loneliness at school and helplessness at home has depressed her, so much so that she was considering suicide! That's a pretty scary thing. As a friend, he just wants to pull her out of that phase and give her a reason to be happy. Spending time in a carefree atmosphere is the one way to make sure she won't start thinking of useless things. To have hopes of having a good time and finishing the day with happy memories...they are best things to go through the day happily. He is protective of her because he knows that she is in a very vulnerable state...he just wants to make sure she's alright. There is nothing other than pure care of a friend behind his actions! 😳
