This is the story of Shantanu and Puchki, forcefully separated as innocent children, the circumstances they find themselves in are such that they will never be allowed to reunite because of societal expectations.
As children, Shantanu and Puchki were oblivious of harsh reality of being born and brought up in Sonagachi - a red light district slum. The two suffered a big shock when Shantanu gets adopted into a wealthy family and Puchki is left behind in the abysmal reality of Sonagachi, where the only future ahead of her involves prostitution.
