Chapter 49
Before Bihaan could put the car in gear, Thapki opened the door and sat in the front seat. Bihaan did not look at Thapki and just drove the car in full speed.
The two reached PN in one hour. Bihaan and Thapki did not speak even a single word on the way. Thapki wanted to talk but the angry look on Bihaan's face stopped her from saying anything.
It was almost 10 pm when they reached PN. The house was dark and there seemed to be no sign of electricity. They inquired the guard on the gate and he told them the light was out since past one hour and that he had already called the electrician to come and check the problem.
Thapki knew Bihaan had problems with darkness so she quickly got out of the car and held Bihaan's hand. Bihaan for the first time looked at her face and they had their eye contact. The pain in Bihaan's eyes was very much evident. Thapki felt bad for him. She lowered her gaze and followed Bihaan inside.
The servants had gone with the family so no one was in the house. Bihaan turned on the flash light on is mobile and the two silently walked into their room. Bihaan quietly lie down in the bed where as Thapki started lighting the candles which she had placed in the room for Bihaan's birthday. The room was finally lit and Bihaan took a sigh of relief.
In order to start the conversation, Thapki slowly took Bihaan's name.
Thapki: "Bihaan"
Bihaan did not reply so she repeated again. This time he replied with a "hmmm" only.
Thapki: "Should I bring sthg for u to eat?"
Bihaan: "No, I am not hungry"
Thapki: "Do u need tea?"
Bihaan did not reply this time. She took it as a yes and walked downstairs. The house was dark and she herself was feeling uncomfortable. With some difficulty, she finally managed to make two cups of tea. She put the two cups in the tray and went back to their room. She noticed Bihaan was missing from the bed. She looked around and noticed him sitting in the sofa with a painful expression on his face. Thapki put the tray on the table and sat next to him. It was then that she noticed that his shirt had blood on it. Thapki tried to look at his wound with full concern in his eyes but before she could touch it, Bihaan strongly held her hand and stopped her from touching him.
Thapki: "Bihaan u r bleeding. Have u cut urself?"
Bihaan: "It's okay Thapki. I am fine"
Thapki: "No u r not Bihaan. U seem wounded"
Bihaan (angrily): "I know I am wounded. I have cut myself with the broken window glass which might have broken earlier today"
Thapki looked at the window and noticed the broken glass.
Thapki: "Oh I see. But now please let me look at it. It might need dressing"
Thapki again tried to move his shirt to look at his wound but Bihaan this time pushed her back angrily and stood up from his place in complete anger.
Bihaan: "Y don't u understand wat I am saying. I don't need ur sympathy. I can take care of myself. Just leave me alone. Would u?"
Thapki felt very hurt this time. The tensiom was already growing inside her since many days and this was it. Tears started flowing down her face. She stood up from her place and walked towards Bihaan who was standing with his back towards her. She pulled his arm and made him face her. This startled Bihaan as he was not expecting this.
Thapki: "Who do u think u r? Always trying to push me away as if I have no right over u... Always trying to distant urself from me as if I am some unwanted person in ur life... Yes we got married under unusual circumstances but things had started to get better between us... I had hope of having a better life with u... I agree that I am full of faults and flaws but I am trying to overcome those and..."
Bihaan tired to stop her by calling her name but she wanted to spill it all out.
Thapki: "I have been waiting and waiting and waiting that u will one day open up to me but it seems that I am not gud enough for u... I did not demand much but may be loving me is also sthg too much for u... I am sorry if my demands r too high for my level... I did not want to rush things but when the doctor told me that I must get pregnant as soon as possible coz if not then my chances of getting pregnant might become less, I could not wait. I wanted to share this with u but did u even bother to know abt it? Did u even make me sit and discuss abt our future together?? I tried to do everything I could do to be with u but it seems u do not need me in ur life... U want to be alone then I will leave u alone. I will go back to from where I came. I am done Bihaan. I lose"
Thapki sat down on the floor with her back touching the bed. She hid her face in her hands and kept crying. After few minutes when her cries have become silent that she heard Bihaan's voice. She looked up and found him sitting very next to her. His eyes had pain but his face had a very strange expression on it... it was not pain but sthg more than that.
Bihaan: "It all started when Naman Pandey started visiting a famous red light area and fell for the famous singer of that time "Kosi Devi". This affair would have remained a secret but Kosi Devi got pregnant. When she told this to Naman, he refused to accept the child as his and broke his contact with her. She came to PN and asked for her right but no one listened to her and she was thrown out. She had no option left but to give birth to that child on her own who turned up to be a son"
Thapki knew Bihaan was telling his own story so she listened without interrupting him.
Bihaan: "She named her illegitimate child "Bihaan" and hoped that her husband will one day come and accept him but that did not happen. Naman Pandey was also thrown out by his father for bringing shame to the family. Kosi who was hoping for the family to accept their child one day, realised that this will never happen. This made her hate her own child as it was him who had ruined her life, her career and was a complete burden on her. She started taking revenge from him. She would lock him up in dark room for hours while her "special guests" would come at her place. She would beat him up herself and would let the guests to beat him too. The boy prayed everyday for his own death so that the torture would end. And one day his prayers were answered and some one died. His own father died or I must say got killed by the hands of his own mother. That day the boy did not know if he must mourn the death of his father whom he had never met or celebrate his freedom as his own uncle came for his rescue and brought him to this home"
With that Bihaan turned his face towards Thapki. Thapki now realised that Bihaan's face had the expression of horror on his face. It seemed if he had lived it all once again while narrating his life's story to her. She did not know how to comfort him so she place her hand on his.
Thapki: "Its okay Bihaan. Its over now. It was all in the past. Just forget abt it and..."
Bihaan looked at her face with tears in his eyes and stood up from his place. Thapki followed him.
Bihaan: "No Thapki it is not over. It will never be over. I can not forget coz..."
Bihaan did not complete his sentence. He looked at Thapki and then started opening the buttons of his shirt. He turned his back towards her and took off his shirt. His back had a recent wound which was covered with dried blood. Thapki walked closer to examine it thinking Bihaan was showing her the recent wound but to her shock she noticed old marks of so many cuts on his body. They seemed to be old but she knew Bihaan was still feeling its pain.
She touched her back and a painful "Bihaan" slipped from her lips. Bihaan turned back towards her and with fear in his eyes looked at Thapki. He saw her shocking face and tears again built up in his eyes.
Bihaan: "No Thapki please. Please do not hate me. I know there is nthg to love abt me but please do not hate me or leave me. U earlier said u will leave but please I beg of u not to ever leave me"
With that Bihaan fell on his knees and bent his head lower so he could not see Thapki. Thapki who had been in shock of wat Bihaan had gone through and how painful this all was for him... to go through it and then to share it with her... realised how insecure the two had been assuming the other will leave if knew the truth... unaware of the fact that the truth could and would bring them close. She sat in front of Bihaan and held his head in her hands. She made him look into her eyes.
Thapki: "I love u Bihaan and will keep loving u till the last breath of my life. Nthg and no one can ever make me love u any less. I love u more than I ever loved u before"
Bihaan who had least expected this reaction from her made her stand and hugged her with full force.
Bihaan: "I love u too Thapki. I love u more than anything. I will never let u go away. I will do anything that I must to have u in my life"
Tears were flowing down their faces but their eyes were sparkling. Thapki finally broke the hug and asked Bihaan not to move. She walked towards his back and put her hand on her back. She touched his wounds first with her hands and then with her lips. Bihaan felt as if for the first time, his wounds have stopped hurting. The feeling of her lips on his body was so overjoying that he did not want her to stop. And she also seemed not wanting to stop. She walked towards his shoulder then his chest. She kissed the few scars on the front of his body and then Bihaan touched her face with her hands. She looked into his eyes. He cupped her face in his hands and admired her beauty for few seconds before moving his own face closer to hers for their very first passionate kiss from his lips to her lips.
Thapki knew that their first kiss will be magical but she had no idea that it will literally swipe the ground from under her feet. If it had not been Bihaan holding her tightly, she would have collapsed on the floor. Bihaan broke the kiss and looked at Thapki's face which even in the candle light was a deep shade of pink. He smiled and made her turn around and hugged her from back. He brought his lips closer to her ear and whispered.
Bihaan: "Wat do u think abt babies??? Will one be enough or u need two??"
He finished his sentence by placing a soft kiss on her neck and Thapki covered her face with her hands. She could not believe that the mention of their babies from Bihaan's mouth will result into this sensation in her body. Bihaan moved her hands away from her face with his one hand.
Bihaan: "Don't hide urself from me when I have fully exposed myself to u"
Thapki was trying to control her fast heart beat when she felt Bihaan's hand moving her hair that were covering her back. She felt a chill run through her body. His lips again touched her neck leaving a trail of soft kisses from her neck to her bare back. His lips froze on the small mole on her back. She closed her eyes as she could not control herself any more. His soft fingers moved on her back and stopped on the dori of her blouse. She knew wat he was abt to do and the anticipation of wat was abt to happen made her weak in her knees. His fingers held the doris and let them loose. She recalled how she once wanted him to tie her dori but he behaved so coldly with her then and now...
Before she could think of anything else, Bihaan turned her around and held her face again. He moved her face so that he could see her eyes. But she was feeling so shy that she could not even meet his gaze. He knew wat she wanted but being a gentleman he wanted her confirmation. He again brought his lips closer to her ear and whispered "May I?" and instead of saying a word, she responded by hiding her face in his chest. Taking it as a yes, he picked her up in his arms and took her to their bed. He placed her lightly on the bed and sat next to her. The light of candle was falling on her sweet face. Her eyes were now open and she was looking at him. Her eyes were saying sthg and to read their statement, he lay down next to her.
He stared into her eyes but noticing him moving next to her, she again shut her eyes. A smile appeared on his lips and he softly kissed her two eye lids and the pink tip of her nose. He the diamond in her nose pin was sparkling in the candle light. His next destination were her lips and this time even she responded with the same passion. He entwined his fingers with hers and later their bodies fit into each other as they if they were designed to be so.
The rest of the night, they talked a lot not through the words but they let their bodies speak the story of their passion.

The two being very tired slept till late. It was Thapki who opened her eyes first. She looked around and noticed a shirtless Bihaan sleeping very very close to her. As he was sleeping upside down, his back was visible to her. She saw his wound and the scars. He did not care any more if she could see it. He had finally overcome his insecurities and that led to the beautiful start of a new relationship. The memory of the happenings of the last night made her shy and she hid her face with her hands. It was Bihaan who moved her hands and looked at her beautiful face.
Bihaan: "Wat happened?"
Thapki: "Nthg"
Bihaan: "Sthg must have happened to turn u beet root red"
Thapki: "Just recalled few things"
Bihaan let go of her hands and moved more closer to her and covered her with his one arm by still lying on his belly. He moved his lips closer to her face and kissed her cheek.
Bihaan: "U need not to recall such things as I will keep doing these things to u every single day"
Thapki looked at Bihaan's face that had an angelic smile and pure happiness. She decided to tease him a little. She brought her face closer to his and he closed his eyes expecting Thapki to give him a kiss on his lips but she whispered in his ear.
Thapki: "Bihaan will u do as I say?"
Bihaan: "Anything for u my love"
Thapki: "Will u move a little so that I can take the bed cover with me to the washroom as I need to take shower and dress up"
She ended her sentence with a giggle and took the sheet from under him and was abt to run when he quickly caught her.
Bihaan: "Not so fast"
Thapki: "Bihaan plz leave as I need to go"
Bihaan: "Please not now... I will feel so alone if u go"
Thapki: "I am just going to the washroom. The family might return anytime so..."
Bihaan: "I don't care. I want u to be with me like this forever"
Thapki: "I am here Bihaan. Not going any where"
Bihaan: "Promise?"
But before Thapki could reply, Bihaan's cell phone started ringing. As Bihaan and Thapki were wrapped in a sheet together so he moved Thapki with him and looked at his cell phone. Dadi's name was flashing on the screen. He instantly picked up the phone. He heard the crying voice of Dadi.
Dadi: "Bihaan my son... wat happened? Y u and Thapki left like that? No body is telling me anything... Some one said that U and Dhruv had a fight... Tell me this is not true... I do not want my grand sons to fight like this"
Bihaan and Thapki looked at each other.
