The episode starts with Vasundara sitting in her room and sorting out a list of things she needs to get when Bihaan walks in with a bag. He calls out to her and pulls out the red chunri; telling her that he bought the chunri she requested for. Vasundara puts her notepad aside and gets up telling Bihaan she didn't order the chunri for herself, she ordered it for Thapki. She tells Bihaan she knows he's aware of the tradition that is followed by the family on dhanteras where a husband always gives a gift to their wife. She tells Bihaan that he will give Thapki the chunri after the puja that will be held at home. This shocks Bihaan and he tells her he won't be able to give Thapki the gift. Vasundara tells him he's Thapki's husband so he has to fulfill the ritual. Bihaan asks her what will the rituals do if the marriage itself is a sham. He then tells her after three months they will go separate ways. Vasundara tells him he's right but as long as Thapki is his wife then he should follow all rituals and traditions. She is shocked when Bihaan asks her not to make him helpless to perform the rituals because he got married to her being helpless. He says there's no point of giving Thapki the gift because she'll feel worse. As it is he has hurt her so many times and given her so many wounds. Vasundara is left dumbfounded when Bihaan leaves the chunri on her table and tells her giving the gift to Thapki won't be right.Kiran is instructed by Dadi on what to do for the puja. She tells Kiran to put a new cloth on the idol after she finishes decorating the temple. Kiran enthusiastically tells her she bought a very nice dress of the idol. Their conversation is interrupted when they spot a sad Vasundara walking towards them with the chunri in her hand. Dadi being concerned, asks her why she's so sad. She then asks Kiran to get a glass of water for her mother because she's not in a great mood. Kiran tells Dadi she'll go get a glass of water right away but her mother's mood should be fine by the time she gets back. As soon as Kiran leaves, Vasundara tells Dadi she had told Bihaan to get the chunri because she thought she could make Bihaan give a gift to Thapki. Dadi asks her if Bihaan disagreed and Vasundara says yes. She tells Dadi about Bihaan saying that Thapki will be hurt if he gives her the chunri as a gift. Dadi tells Vasundara not to be sad and explains to her if Bihaan said Thapki will feel bad then it's because he has started thinking about her and can't see her troubled. She also tells Vasundara they shouldn't forcefully make the duo accept each other because Mata Rani is the one who made the couple then she will be the one who will fulfill all the rituals. She gives an example of the Karvachauth fast and how Thapki broke her fast with Bihaan's hands so they should put their trust in God and everything will be fine. She finishes off saying that a miracle will also happen this time if Mata Rani wills.Poonam serves food to Krishnakanth and Varun. They notice she's made Aditi's favourite food again for the second time in that same week. They compliment the food and ask her where her lovely daughter is. She tells them Aditi has gone for a job interview and Varun says he hopes she gets the job this time otherwise she might do something wrong while depressed. Poonam tells him she's sure Aditi won't do anything that will make her head bow down in shame. Suddenly, the doorbell rings and Poonam heads to open the door. She is shocked to find Aditi standing with sindoor on her forehead, a mangalsutra and a garland around her neck. It is shown that she got married to Diwakar.Dadi tells everyone that it's time for the puja but Vasundara asks them to wait for a few minutes because she also invited her soon to be daughter in law for the puja. Just then, Shraddha walks in and everyone is happy to see her except Dhruv and Bihaan. She greets everyone and takes the elder's blessings. She wishes Thapki a happy dhanteras and asks her if it's her first dhanteras and Thapki says yes. Shraddha wishes Bihaan a hearty congratulations on his first dhanteras with his wife and Bihaan thanks her. Kiran tells Shraddha that Bihaan shies away as soon as he hears Thapki's name. Bihaan tells them all that they should perform the puja but Shraddha asks everyone to wait because she'd like to take a picture with everyone as it's her first festival with them. They all agree and get in the selfie but Bihaan stands away from them. Shraddha tells him he can't be seen in the picture so he should move closer to Thapki. Dhruv sarcastically asks Thapki to call Bihaan close and Vasundara tells Bihaan to get into the picture because everyone's waiting. Bihaan complies and gets into the picture and stands next to Thapki who looks at him nervously. Shraddha takes the picture and calls it a perfect family. She zooms it in to Bihaan and Thapki. Dhruv gets uncomfortable when Shraddha refers to them as lovebirds who couldn't even take eyes off each other to look into the picture. She says she'll upload it on her social networking site so all her friends can see her new family. Preeti gets excited and tells her it's an excellent idea so she will also take a selfie with her new awesome cupboard and upload it on a social networking site so everyone can see it. Suman gets irritated and asks her to get inside the cupboard itself and take a picture so everyone can see how big it is as well. Dadi asks them if they're done with their whims then there are other things to be done. She asks Vasundara to give the shagun then they will commence and perform the puja. Vasundara calls Shraddha and hands over a golden coin to her telling her its a shagun. Kiran says that Vasundara gives the golden coin as a token to her daughters in law during their first festival in the house. Vasundara asks Shraddha to keep it because she will also become a daughter in law soon. Dhruv gets irritated hearing this. Shraddha accepts the shagun and tells Vasundara she's taking it as a blessing. Vasundara then walks over to Thapki and hands over a golden coin to her too as a shagun for her first dhanteras after marriage. Thapki accepts it and takes her blessings. Vasundara walks past Preeti and Suman and they ask her where their shagun is. Preeti asks for a gold coin but Vasundara tells her they won't get gold coins but silver. They ask why Shraddha and Thapki get god but they get silver. Both their husbands tell them that it isn't their first dhanteras and they've already gotten their golden coins so it's Thapki's and Shraddha's turn. They all go to the temple to perform the puja and Shraddha leaves her gold coin on the sofa by the side and Preeti notices. She tells Suman she can't concentrate on the puja because all she can see is the gold coin. Suman says she can't concentrate as well because of the same reason. She gets irked and says Shraddha hasn't even become the daughter in law of the house yet and she still got a gold coin. Preeti mentions Thapki's name and Suman asks her not to worry about Thapki as she will leave in 3 months. She says they should worry about Shraddha who has snatched their rights even before getting married to Dhruv. She says she feels like snatching the gold coin from Shraddha, Preeti says she'll do the needful and tells Suman she'll show her magic. Everyone has their eyes closed for during the puja so Preeti dips her silver coin in a golden coloured paste and blows on it to dry it up. She then takes the golden coin and replaces it with the coated silver one. Suman asks her what will happen if Shraddha finds out and Preeti tells her she won't find out because the silver coin is now completely coloured so Shraddha won't be able to tell the difference.After they finish the puja, Dadi asks Kiran to light diyas on all windows and in the courtyard. Shraddha heads over to get her coin and notices the change in colour and sees how fake it looks. She walks over to everyone else and Vasundara asks her what happened when she notices her tensed face. Preeti and Suman get nervous but then get happy when Shraddha says there's nothing wrong. Dadi asks Balwinder to fulfill the family tradition by touching the gift he got on Mata Rani's feet then gifting to his wife. She says all husbands will do the same and gift their wives. The same is done by Suman's and Preeti's husbands. When Vasundara asks if everyone has given their gifts but Dhruv shocks Thapki when he says he also has a gift to give to Shraddha. He says that Shraddha isn't his wife yet but if he starts from now then it'll be easier when they get married. She takes the dress out of the bag and puts it on Mata Rani's feet then hands it over to Shraddha. While looking at Thapki, he tells Shraddha he hopes she'll like it because it's the first time he has chosen a gift on his own. Shraddha looks at the dress and compliments it while Bihaan looks on irritated. Shraddha then asks Bihaan whether he'll give something to Thapki or not; shocking everyone. When Bihaan doesn't say anything, Shraddha asks him if he forgot to get a gift but he says he'll give Thapki a gift later. Vasundara quickly changes the topic by offering aarti to everyone. When she reaches Thapki, she and Bihaan both put their hands on the thaal to get the aarti. Thapki then takes the thaal to put it on the temple but cuts her hand with some metal puja utensils placed nearby. Her hand starts bleeding and Dhruv shouts her name but then stops in his tracks when he sees Bihaan rushing to her and holding her hand worried for her. Bihaan looks around and spots the shagun chunri which Vasundara had left in the temple. He takes the chunri and ties it around her hand to stop the bleeding. Dadi takes Vasundara to the side and tells her to look at Mata Rani's miracle because the gift Bihaan bought for Thapki has reached her through Bihaan's hands. They happily look at the duo and the screen freezes on Thapki's tensed face.Precap: As Preeti walks along the corridors of the house, she sees a gold coin and she picks it up. She spots another gold coin a little bit further and she follows the trail of coins while picking them up and they lead her to a room. She goes inside busy with her coins and someone locks her in the room from outside.
