"Have you contacted Dr. Krishna for the medical feature next week?" Dhruv asked Sakshi, skimming through the agenda for the next meeting.
"Yes, but she refused." Sakshi said, acting offended at the doctor's refusal.
Dhruv frowned.
"What kind of a rule does she have anyway? A month's notice? Who does she-"
"I had asked you to reserve dates last month itself." Dhruv stated sourly.
"II had asked Thapki to remind me. It's so distracting to have her stuttering at me all the time, in any case." Sakshi tried to hide her smugness.
Thapki who had been standing quietly till then, started, "I'm s-s-sssorry ma'am. But you did nnn-no-"
"There she goes again. See how difficult it is?" Sakshi said triumphantly to Dhruv. She mentally patted her own back for having cut Thapki short before she told Dhruv that Sakshi had in fact not asked her to do anything.
"Sakshi?" Dhruv looked at her incredulously.
"Yes?" Sakshi smirked, sure that she had successfully absolved herself of all blame.
"Thapki wasn't here a month ago. A journalist should not be mixing up dates. Remember that. "
"Thapki!" He said, turning to her.
"Y-yes Sir?" She asked nervously.
"Prepare a questionnaire for the feature. I need it tomorrow." He instructed.
"Q-q-qquestionnaire? B-b-but sir yyyou'll be hosting it. How can I prepare your... Yyyou do i-it yourself usually."
"I thought you are here to learn?" Dhruv questioned with a raised eyebrow.
Thapki simply nodded.
Sakshi quietly fumed. Dhruv had never let her help with his show's lines.
Slowly Sakshi and Thapki turned to leave.
"Thapki!" Dhruv called out again.
"Y-y-yyes sir!"
"Remind Sakshi that she has to talk to the other panelists for the feature. Within 2 days."
Thapki nodded.
"There Sakshi. You now have an excuse if you decide to forget.. Although, I doubt that you will. " Dhruv smirked now, even as Sakshi glared at Thapki.
"I don't want to hear your voice." She hissed at Thapki under her breath.
Thapki gulped.
"Thapki!" Dhruv called out yet again. "I'm serious about the reminder. "And..."
Thapki looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"...Stop being so apologetic about everything."
