Teri Meri Love Stories: Review of Saturday's telef

This weekend the Telefilms by Star plus is Rediscovering First love and we are discovering if this telefilms is a Hit or a miss.

To help our audience to choose an option between the two, here is a brief about the Story, the Characters, the Execution and my personal favourite the Pot Shots.

The Basic Plot

Two young enthusiastic people meet and fall in love but their love story faces a dead end as both of them wants different routes in life... Pari who takes life as a beautiful journey wants to continue the journey with another passenger, her Love. Ishaan had struggled his life all along and now want to live life his way thus have an ambition to make it big. After a fling and a fight Ishaan goes to USA to fulfil his ambition and Pari is blessed with a dumb son Aditya all the while missing each other.

After an Eight year leap, successful Ishaan comes to find the missing note in his life Pari and finds Aditya, in true Filmy style he finds a connection with the dumb lad and teaches him guitar meanwhile Pari is getting married to Aman. During a performance on the marriage of Aditiya's mother Ishaan finds out that the bride to be is none other than Pari and Adi is his son and Pari finds out that Adi was taking guitar lessons from his father... not surprisingly everything is discovered before the wedding and the Bride, the new Groom and their Kid lives happily ever after.

The Characters

Pari: A fun loving girl who is currently in love with Music and then when she sees a 'Tashaned' guy Ishaan music takes the second place. Listening to her heart and living life as it comes the broken hearted girl raises her Dumb son as a baker.

Ishaan: his ambition is music and love is a part of his life not his life. He goes ahead to become a wealthy and successful man but misses the women who should be beside him.

Aditya: A kid that has learned the lesson of life early... he is different from others and has accepted it with utmost happiness. The kid has the innocence of enjoying life with all its trouble.

The Execution

Meet Cute Moment: Pari completes the song Ishaan is singing, he takes her for a tour of the college fest and the cupid stretches his bow to hit targets soon.

First Fight: they both compete each other in the singing competition our impersonator of Ranveer Kapoor's Rockstar look Ishaan is hurt when Pari performs and scores better than him (both the performances oozed fake rock-star feel), Pari apologises to Ishaan and rain accompanies her to cool down his anger and frustration.

The Courtship: although they have not confessed their love as of yet but are goes around like a couple. With a love song in background they both explored the city and each other.

Second Fight: after a filmy performance of Ishaan, Pari forgets her song and goofs up her chancing of winning hurting the self respect of Ishaan. The angry and crying bird have a fight.

Confession of Love: the crying bird Pari confesses her love and the rain comes again to join them in their intimate moments.

Third Fight: if you are thinking how much did they fight, well this was the last one...the next morning gloomy Ishaan is overshadowed by a dreamy ready to be wed Pari. Throwing her to the ground from her seventh heaven Ishaan informs her that she, love and marriage are not in his cards for now.

Cinderella moment: this Pari did not lose her shoe, but leaves behind a locket of her initial 'P' as a souvenir to her Prince.

Sad Song: both sides of the coin mirrored same feelings sad, hurt and missing each other accompanied by a background score.

Last Call: Pari's ship Ishaan was sailing to USA and made a last call to Pari apologising for his behaviour. She misses the chance to board the ship by not informing him about her pregnancy and decided to lead a life of a single mother.

The 8 year Leap: usually a television programme takes a leap when creative's could not think of anything, but here the leap was part and parcel of the story. To be honest it was good that the leap took place or else how could we meet Aditya... the best part of this Telefilm.

Aditya: the eight year old kid who could not speak but can still express his thoughts is missing his father growing up. (The kid should have used proper sign language as this random way of expressing his thoughts was not able to justify his dumb character)

The Proposal: no! The Ishaan and Pari have not met yet. The proposal is for Pari from Aman a friend from four years... and for the betterment of all and her nani's persuasion Pari says yes.

Same place, Same time but No See: to propose Pari, Aman took her to a church where just before them Ishaan is praying. They do not see each other but crosses each other paths and Pari gets an inkling of his presence and think it must be someone else leaving it at that.

Same place, Same time and definite See: Ishaan meets Adi playing a flute. They instantly become friends as both feel a connection with each other. Ishaan spends time with Adi, takes him for a ride and teaches him guitar.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum Moment: Adi hugs Ishaan during their first meet and Pari's inclination bell rings again this time with all the air and special effects just like K3GJ.

The Wedding: Pari told Adi in one scene that if her heart is correct about his dad coming for them God will not allow anything wrong (the marriage)... and the God sent Ishaan spots his girl while singing with his son, the bride came running after listening to his lovers voice... standing amidst the wedding venue they meet, share apologies and hug, joining them to complete the family comes Adi.

The Last word: our narrator for the day Pari herself ends the Telefilm by some words about life which are:

"aakhir main apni manzil tak pahuch hi gayi aur yaha se shuru hota hain ek naya safar hum teeno ka safar. Yeh raasta bahut khobsurat hain aur koi manzil nahin "

And their best friend joins them The Rain J

The Pot Shots

The Rain: one of the major character of this Telefilm was rain... it was there in there fights, solace and even when they finally met. Seriously if rain comes every time just like that for a couple our world will be flooded soonJ.

The funniest scene of all is when Ishaan is lying on stairs and it's raining... he is soaking himself with specs on J and when he gets up for a few minutes the unwipered specs stay on.

The Guitar: or shall we say the guitars... it was like an additional character in the story that was uncared for... Ishaan let it drown in rain while his fight with Pari continues, infact Adi throws it away in the end when he is running towards his mum and new found dad (I agree it was to big for your size but atleast don't through)

Rockstar vs Businessman: the ambitious Musician went to USA and earned money for about eight years doing what??? Because he returned looking like a businessman... we did not agree with the first look at all, could have tried a different Rockstar look... Ranveer's look was not the only option and later neither his looks nor the telefilms disclosed what went through those eight years.

Ignorant Mom: Somehow all the while Adi was roaming around with Ishaan, Pari is busy in something and does not really notice her son's new friend at all... or maybe the Telefilm did not have time to show that minute detail.
