Why the misdirected anger towards Sahiba?

Just started watching the show this week. Im confused about Brar's behaviour towards Sahiba.

I get that Angad has a grudge against Sahiba and so isn't treating her right, though denying food is borderline abuse and completely unreasonable.

Manveer's stance doesn't make sense to me- why encourage Angad to mistreat and punish Sahiba? If anything shouldn't Manveer be grateful to Sahiba for revealing the truth at the last moment and be upset with the Monga's instead? Or bring up annulment as an option? Or try and get her son some therapy for the broken heart and betrayal?

What's the point of directing the anger at Sahiba? Whether she likes it or not, Sahiba is Angad's wife and if both Angad and her are that bothered, why not encourage Sahiba to pursue further education/focus on her Art, in fact invest I'm her Art business so that she can slowly move away from the limelight as the Brar bahu and eventually file for a divorce once Keerat is married?

These are such great opportunities instead of the abuse and mistreatment that is going on right now.

If only the writers would go that route.
Unfortunately, ITV enjoys the patriarchy and misogyny.

I hope she’ll be able to continue going to her art shop, when (or if) the family anger finally subsides.

I do understand Manbir & Angad felt cheated, conned & ditched by Mongas and at present they don’t want anything to do with any of the Mongas. Even though Sahiba did come out clean she kept quiet for a long and waited till last moment that too when media presence was there. Sahiba coming in dulhan’s costume was the root cause of there marriage. At the moment none of the Brar’s know about Jassi’s involvement in the marriage. Once they know that they will start seeing sahiba’s personality & admire her. I agree denying food was inhuman and Manbir encouraging Angad to abuse his wife just because he is angry is Pathetic. Manbir just preaches about being classy but she is not that

Manveer is a product of patriarchy with a quiet bit of internalized misogyny mixed in. To her, Sahiba is an imposition made on her and her beloved son’s life by Daarji. Daarji said something to Manbeer (don’t remember the exact words) that was a subtle nudge at her own marriage and how she knew the ever lasting bond that marriage is (coz by Indian patriarchal standards divorce is not an option at all🤔). So basically to her now Daarji plus Sahiba presenting herself as Dulhan is what ruined her son’s life and she has no reasons to believe a word Sahiba says. She cannot outright harm Sahiba herself because Daarji would likely punish her, so she uses her tongue and goads Angad to commit domestic abuse.

I feel Manbir is frustrated with her own life. She is a married woman but don’t have marital bliss or her husband’s presence in her life. She could have either walked away from a bitter marriage or tried to work her marriage by resolving her issues with her husband. She didn’t do both and eventually she is frustrated with the life she had. She might be the elder daughter in law of house but technically if we see she don’t have any power. Family decisions are take by Dadaji. She moulded her own son to be a Dadaji pleaser now that it self back fired. Her son chose to follow Dadaji not her (regarding Angad’s marriage with Sahiba) that even more frustrates her.

At the end of the day, Sahiba does belong to the family that cheated them and insulted them in front of the whole world. No matter how many times any of us say that Sahiba had nothing to do with it, it is only normal that the people on the receiving end of the scam will hate her. And Sahiba is right in front of them and married to Angad despite everything, so they are taking it out on her. If it was any other family member there, the same would have happened to them as well.
