While Ramdei is talking with Laachi and Radha about Kalki fleeing away with her lover and the jewelry on the eve of "Naamkaran", both Phulmani and Mrs. Hiraman overhear and decide to use this information against Ramdei's family. When villagers come to console Ramdei, she blames Mrs. Hiraman for spreading rumors. Meanwhile, to access Ramdei's money, Vishnu coaxes Phulmani to apologize to Ramdei. On Radha's way back from the post office to get Jamuna's husband's phone number she meets Ramdei, who questions the purpose of her visit.
