Okay so about this chapter, there is not much of Taanu romantic scenes in this but still hopefully everyone will like it, and guys, there are still some mysteries to be unfolded in the story, so stay tuned. Pardon me for the errors. Chahat's character is played by Muskan Uppal, who was Harshad's on-screen daughter in Kis Desh. 😳

Moments of Happiness
"Robindo ne toh yehi school bataaya tha," Taani said to herself and roamed around the playground. Her eyes were searching for someone, and at one moment, she stopped a young girl, probably of 6-7 years, who was playing around and asked, "Beta, aap Chahat ko janti ho?" The kid nodded and pointed towards a direction. When Taani followed that direction, she noticed a girl sitting on the bench. Wearing stylish spectacles, she was deeply engrossed in reading a book. Taani smiled slightly and muttered, "Yeh Anurag ki beti hi ho sakti hai."
Taking a deep breath, Taani walked straight towards the bench and inwardly prayed to God to help her in what she was planning to do. "Koi bohot busy hai," she said smilingly as she sat beside the girl. "Chahat ko disturb mat karo. Chahat bohot busy hai," Chahat proudly said and adjusted her glass.
Taani's smile broadened up as she remembered something of her past. "Taani, disturb mat karo. Main bohot busy hoon," - Anurag's words collided with her eardrums. "Bilkul apne papa ki tarah hai, papa ki beti," she thought. "Theek hai, disturb nahi karungi, par mujhe Chahat se baat karni hai," Taani said in a childish voice. "Chahat anjaan logo se baat nahi karti," Chahat replied, stood up and started to walk away.
"Beta, aapke papa aapko bohot miss karte hai.", Taani said in a weak voice, and there, Chahat seized her footsteps. She turned back with her teary eyes, and on seeing that, Taani's heart melted in a second. She went to Chahat and kneeling, she wiped her tears and hugged her. "Beta, aap roiye mat.", she said affectionately.
Chahat broke the hug and said innocently, "Chahat bhi apne papa ko bohot miss karti hai," Taani was shocked hearing that, but she was happy as well. Chahat didn't hate Anurag, so why did Anurag think that Chahat hated him? She wondered. "Beta, aap apne papa se kabhi milne ki koshish nahi kiya?", she asked Chahat. "Maine toh nanu se kitni bar kaha ki mujhe papa se milna hai par woh humesha keheti hai ki papa mujhse pyaar nahi karte aur mujhse milna nahi chahte.", Chahat replied sadly. "Kya?", Taani exclaimed in shock and astonishment.
"Chahat se yeh kaha gaya ki Anurag isse nafrat karta hai aur waha Anurag ko yeh kaha gaya ki Chahat usse milna nahi chahti. Aakhir aisa kyun kiya Nupur ke family ne?", Taani was baffled as the truth was unfolded, but the next moment, she thought that now the only thing that mattered was to unite Anurag with his daughter Chahat.
"Aunty, aap kya soch rahi ho?", Chahat asked curiously. "Beta, aap apne papa se milna chahti ho?", Taani asked tenderly. Chahat's face glowed up with a huge smile and she said, "Haan, please mujhe mere papa ke pas le chalo." Contently smiling, Taani stood up and held Chahat's tiny hand as they both headed towards the parking area.

"Subha se pata nahi Taani kaha chali gayi! Phone bhi nahi utha rahi hai," Anurag wondered as he was driving to his office. "Shayad office mein hogi," he said to himself. Suddenly his head started aching, and his breaths began to get heavy. He raised his brows and twisted them as he felt uneasy. His view blurred, and he tried to park his car aside, but instead of that, he lost his balance over his car, and at last, it got hit with a tree very hard. The front glass of the car was broken down and some pieces injured Anurag's face, while his forehead bumped very hard with the steering gear, making it bleed very badly.

Taani and Chahat rushed to City Hospital. "Anurag Ganguly kaunse room mein hai?", Taani asked the receptionist with a worried look. "First floor, OT," replied the receptionist, and without wasting a second, Taani and Chahat walked towards the elevator.
Robindo was sitting outside the OT. "Taani," He whispered on seeing Taani and was surprised to see Chahat there. Though he was hell worried about Anurag, he slightly smiled in relief as Taani was successful in bringing Chahat to meet Anurag.
"Robindo, Anurag kaisa hai? Woh theek toh hai naa?", Taani asked impatiently. "Doctor ne kaha ki bohot khoon behe gaya hai, jiske vajah se immediately operation kar rahe hai, aur.." Robindo stopped as he didn't get the courage to speak further. He lowered her eyes. "Aur kya, Robindo? Bataaiye naa.", Taani asked her and the desperateness in her voice increased.
Robindo continued with a gloomy face, "Unhe tumour hai, plus, bohot khoon behe gaya, iss liye unki condition kaafi critical hai. Operation ke baad hi doctor kuch bataa paayenge ki.." He couldn't say anything as pain overtook him, and turning to the other side, he cried silently.
Taani felt the earth spinning around and her knees felt numb. Somehow she managed to sit. She was quiet; perhaps she was at a loss of words. Tears overflowed from her eyes at the highest speed, and on seeing that, Chahat came up to her and asked with moist eyes and a sense of fear in her voice, "Aunty, papa ko kya hua? Woh theek ho jayenge naa?" Seeing her innocence, Taani pulled her in a hug and said determinedly, "Tumhare papa bilkul thik ho jayenge."

Hours passed and the tension kept on arising. Finally when a doctor came out of the OT and everyone gathered him. "Doctor, Anurag kaisa hai?" The doctor replied, "Dekhiye, sar pe bohot jor se chot lagne ki vajah se tumour pe bhi asar padha hai, jiske vajah se humhe tumour abhi nikaalna padh raha hai, aur bohot khoon bhi behe chuka hai. Aap mein se kisi ka blood group O- hai?" "Mera blood group same hai.", Robindo and Taani said in chorus and there, they both looked at each other with a relief look. "That's great! Chaliye humare saath.", the doctor said and took Robindo and Taani with him.

Taani, holding her elbow, came out of the blood donating room, and just after a few minutes, Robindo came out from another room. They were tensed, and the only thing that mattered for them now was the safety of Anurag's life.
"Aunty, mummy toh chali gayi. Aab kya papa bhi chale jayenge?", Chahat asked Taani, while her eyes were conveying all her fears, and Taani's heart contracted with love and affection hearing the question of that innocent kid. "Nahi beta, aisa kuch nahi hoga. Papa kahi nahi jayenge.", Taani firmly said.

After an hour, the doctor came out of the OT with a content smile on his face and said, "Congratulations. Operation successful raha. Mr. Ganguly aab bilkul theek hai, aur unhe kuch hi der mein hosh aa jayega." This news brought a big smile on everyone's face.
"Kya hum unse mil sakte hai?", Taani asked in a hopeful voice. "Hum unhe unke cabin mein shift karle, phir aap unhe zarur mil sakte hai.", the doctor replied.

Chahat was looking at Anurag with a lot of affection conveying from her eyes, while Anurag was still unconscious, and slowly he began to gain his senses back. He opened his eyes slowly and everything was blurry at first. After some seconds, when his sight was clear, he was shocked to see his daughter Chahat sitting beside him. "Chahat, tum?", he said in a whispering tone as he was too weak to speak.
"Papa, aap theek ho gaye," Chahat said joyfully with a glittered smile. Tears streamed from the corner of Anurag's eyes, which were soon wiped off by the tiny delicate fingers of Chahat. "Papa, aap roiye mat. Aap ki beti aap ke paas hai."
It seemed like after like ages, Anurag got the real happiness. He craved to share a moment with his daughter ever after her birth, but circumstances and the outer world had forced him to stay away from his daughter. But today, things were different. The apple of his eyes, his daughter was with him and he felt content. He felt happy. He felt the peace of heaven.
"Beta, aap yaha.. kaise?", Anurag asked slowly in an astonished tone. "Taani Maa mujhe aap ke paas lekar aayi." Chahat said gratefully and Anurag was out of words. "Kya?", he exclaimed.
"Haan Anu! Main Chahat ko yaha lekar aayi hu.", Taani said happily, standing near the doorway and then she entered inside. "Par Taani, tum.. I mean.. yeh sab?", Anurag was still amazed.
Taani let out a smile and said, "Anurag, aab humari beti humare paas aayegi nahi toh aur kiske paas jaayegi? Waise, mujhe meri cute si pari se milkar bohot accha laga." She said the last line childishly and pulled Chahat's cheeks.
Anurag stared at Taani. He was amazed as to how someone could be so selfless, how someone could love him so much. He didn't have any words to say. He just felt blessed, simply BLESSED!
"Beta, aapke Robindo chachu medicine shop par hai. Unhe jaakar kaho ki papa ko hosh aa gaya.", Taani said to Chahat, and nodding, Chahat left.
After Chahat left from the room, Anurag moved his hand upward to held Taani's hand. His hand was shaking due to his extreme weakness, and seeing this, Taani immediately took his hand in hers and said smilingly, "Anurag, mujhe sab kuch bohot pehele se pata hai, iss liye aise shocked face banaane ki zarurat nahi hai."
"Par Taani, Chahat..", Anurag was about to say something, but Taani, covering his lips with her palm, said, looking affectionately in his eyes, "Chahat humari beti hai, aur main wada karti hu ki main usse Nupur ki kami kabhi mehsus nahi hone dungi. I promise!"
Anurag blinked his eyes as tears of joy overflowed from his eyes and wiping them off, Taani said, in a bit funny and totally casual tone, "Anurag, tumhe nahi lagta ki tum aaj daily soaps ki typical bahuo ki tarah ro rahe ho? I mean, come on, yaar, stop crying!"
Hearing Taani, Anurag smiled, and that brought a content and happy smile on Taani's face too. She lovingly and gently touched the bandage on Anurag's forehead and asked, "Dard ho raha hai?" Her question was something as if seeing him injured was paining her a lot. "Tumne chu liya, aab dard nahi ho raha.", Anurag replied and his voice sounded intense and his passionate love for her was conveying quite easily from the way he said that. Taani blushingly smiled.
"Papa, aaj mera birthday hai aur aap ne wish bhi nahi kiya.", a cute voice came from the door. Taani and Anurag, on hearing it, became cautious and left each other's hands.
"Maine wish nahi kiya kyuki main chahti thi ki aap ke papa aapko wish kare sabse pehele.", Taani said and kissing Chahat on her cheek, she took her on her lap. Anurag was in awe as Taani said that.
"Happy Birthday beta! I wish ki tumhari saare dreams puri ho.", Anurag said to Chahat with a sweet smile. "Meri sabse badi dream toh puri ho gayi.", Chahat said and grinned. "Matlab?", Anurag confusedly asked, but Taani kept on smiling as she could guess what Chahat was going to say. "Mujhe aap mil gaye, mere liye yehi bohot hai papa!", Chahat said and hugged Anurag placing her head carefully on Anurag's chest, while Anurag gave a tearful smile and slowly hugged her back with his shivering hands. Taani smiled seeing this cute father-daughter union.
