Under the duvets, Tania was trying to read Taani's diary. It was very hard for her. When the clock struck 12 and everything was quiet, she turned the lights on and opened the 2nd page.
Dear Diary,
Singing was a talent for me. Something which I had inherited from no one in my family. Everyone loved my voice, but there was someone who liked my singing voice and wanted to use it to make money! Guess who??? Anurag Ganguly. Everyone would stare at us when we argued. Sometimes we got on really well (not really,very rare) but most of the times, we sounded like children fighting. I must admit, I always start it. 😆 Anyway, I have to go to his office. There is some big news!!!
Anu: Hi Taani.
Me: Hi.
Anu: I wanted to say that we have to go to the concert at the hotel. We have to reach there by tomorrow.
I nodded my head.
Anu: One more thing. Act very innocent as people will be there and show that we work really well together.
Me: Ok!
I went out of his office and went straight home to pack my bags.
Morning dawned. I rushed to Anurag's house as he told me to wait there. I went to knock on the door but discovered that it was opened. Weird!
Lady: Hello. You must be Taani Banerjee.
Me: Yes Miss. You?
Lady: I'm Anurag's mum, Neelanjana but you can call me Neelu.
Hmmm. Why isnt Anurag like his mum? She's so sweet and kind, unlike him who is angry all the time!
Neelu: You must be thinking why Anu is so angry and arrogant?
Me: No, I was not thinking that.
Neelu: Don't worry. You see, my Anu is not an agry young man, once you know him properly, you'll just love him. Ever since his dad died in an accident, Anu had been the support to this family. He always hid his feelings that is why he is so tough.
Me: Oh. 😲
Anu: Maa!!
Neelu: Hain. Woh Taani ayi hai.
He came downstairs, dressed in a black suit with a white shirt. He looked quite handsome but not that much. 😉
Anu: Chal. Bye Maa.
Neelu: Bye beta.
She kissed his forehead. He blushed. 😳
I smiled and went inside the car.
The car journey was the longest journey that I ever had. My legs where starting to ache. It was 9pm and suddenly, the car stopped moving. Anurag tried to start the car, but failed.
Me: Now look what you have got us into.
He ignored me and went to check the problem.
Anu: Nope. Not going to work. There's no technician here so we have to find somewhere to stay.
Me: WHAT!!! 😡
We walked along the narrow path. For some reason, we were heading towards a small jungle hut.
Anu: For now, we have to stay there.
Me: I'm not staying here.
He made a face at me and I followed him inside.
It was freezing. Anu put his jacket over my shoulders. He started the fire. We just looked at each other.
