Hello Guys! Well interesting topic and its great to read everyone's reasonings behind watching Tere Liye. I started to watch the show from day one as I was interested to see Harshad again after Kis Desh and I watched it for few weeks but got bored. So, I thought to just come and check updates once in a while and I knew story would get interested after the leap; but after that I totally lost connection with this show, I only watched Pavitra Rishta. So, when did I decide to watch Tere Liye again?! Well on April 5, 2011, YES, after finding out that it ended!!!! :(
I wasn't expecting it to end so soon but I guess no-one could change Star Plus' decision. It always happens to me for some reason, any show that I start to watch, it ends. I started to watch Kis Desh after an year it had started; so i watched all the previous year's episodes and caught myself and watched it till it ended. Same with Bidaai, I watched it and discontinued for an year or so, then caught back again of whole year till march, and it ended in November! And now this show!! The only show that I watched and caught up for abt an year and is still running is Pavitra Rishta. Anyways, getting back to the topic.
So, I have started watching Tere Liye from the leap and I am just about 50-60 episodes away from its end. I did not like the childhood storyline and obviously that time I hadn't seen Anupriya's work or Harshad's and I had just seen Anupriya's pictures or couple of scenes when they showed her meeting Harshad in the assylum. I thought she was okay; both in terms of looks and acting and that Aditi (Heer) looked much better with Harshad (Kis desh- Prem) BUT...... now i say that only Aditi has done justice to Heer's character and only Anurpiya could have done justice to Taani's character. They are unique in their own sense; and Harshad is great as always. This show brought a tremendous change; a relationship of two great friends who had so much trust and understanding of each other. One scene that struck to me completely in all these episodes is where Anuraag works all day to buy chain for Taani's locket as Diwali present and when he comes home he finds out that Taani actually sold that locket to buy him a present instead (a jacket/coat)... that described sacrifice, love, and friendship.
As much as we all bash Ekta sometimes, I do have to give her one credit for introducing such new talents like Aditi and Anupriya and making them into such popular figures; their character leave their mark with their audiences as Heer, Prem, Anurag, Taani, etc!!! Anupriya is gorgeous and greatly talented with much more potential. I hope she achieves greater heights in the future! All in all, I love watching Tere Liye but I regret starting it later after it all ended but I hope to see them back again on some other show. Oh and lastly, one thing that hugely works in favour of this show and that I love is......THE MUSIC!!! What lyrics and what a composition, I am listening to the track since past few days; female version by Himani Kapoor just leaves me speechless!
Sorry for going little overboard with the answer, I just saw the show now so I wrote what I feel about it along with the actual answer why and how I started watching the show. Thank You!
