Written Update: 24/02/11 -- Taposh Saved

Taani and Jonaki come into the living room to serve payesh. Neelu tastes Taani's and enjoys it thoroughly, but stops when she tastes Jonaki's. However, she covers this up by declaring that both have made very good payesh, and that she has two Annapurnas in the household, and gives them money as shagun. She adds that the sweetness of their natures is far surpassed by the sweetness in their hands (Yes...Jonaki's namkeen nature did present itself in her dish 😆). The ladies in the household then tease Neelu about having the payesh all to herself, and ask that they taste the food too. Neelu quite cleverly manages to let the women have all of Taani's payesh, and tells Jonaki to keep her payesh in the kitchen, explaining that there should be some payesh left for the family.

Jonaki tastes her own payesh and realises that it is salty, and asks Taani about this. Taani explains that they are now like daughters to Neelu and therefore she forgives them their mistakes. Jonaki decides that she must ensure her place in the house, or else Taani will end up being the 'ladli', and getting all the property in the process.

Mauli comes to visit Taani, and asks her why she looks so tense. Taani says, could there be any other reason for my tension other than mota Raavan? (I'm glad the CVs added that reference...it was cute 😃) She then speaks of how he told her he would never fit into the nightie at all. Mauli starts laughing, saying that when Onu gave her the nightie she didn't want to wear it, and now when he told her not to she's complaining? Finally what in the world do you want? she adds. Taani, irritated, says, I don't know myself what I want. She then switches the topic to how Mauli is, and Mauli visibly tenses. At this juncture, though, Taani is called by one of the aunties.

Taani is walking through the hall, where Onu is giving instructions on changes to be made in the lawn. He decides to make another attempt to talk to her, and tells her that the sari he gave her looks lovely (which she does...APK is looking more and more beautiful by the day 😊 and HC is looking hotter and hotter by the day 😃) and Taani retorts that this wasn't given by him but by Ma. He replies, so? Same difference! She says that it's not the same - his choice is very different from Neelu's and that anyway Neelu is her mother and Laboni is his, why not go complain to her? She is just about to leave when Onu catches her by the hand. She tells Onu to let her go, and Onu tells her that unless she forgives him and says she isn't angry, he won't. She then says Raavan kahin ka, and tells him that during the Ram Lila play, he had grabbed at her hand exactly like this. Onu is persistant however, and Taani spots Thakoma in the horizon, and tells him that she will tell Thakoma. Thakoma scolds him and tells him not to behave like a child (In my opinion...it's Taani who should get that lecture 🥱) He lets go, and asks Taani whether she was hurt. She says yes, she is hurt because she feels as if he doesn't even know her anymore (Good Lord woman, do you have to really turn that knife over and over again and again?? No wonder he's gone mad!)

Taani reaches the sitting room where the women are talking, and Thakoma is about to talk to her when all of them spot Shumona entering. Thakoma is surprised that she has visited, as this is the day when the bride's mother should not be visiting the household. Shumona apologizes (after Jonaki literally smothers her while hugging and speaks randomly about who will do her makeup and help her wear a sari) and tells them that it is Mauli she has come to visit. She spots Mauli and grabs her hand, taking her to the terrace, and Taani follows.

Shumona tells Mauli that she is angry with her for hiding things from her, as she has found out that Mauli is pregnant from the doctor who diagnosed her. She also tells her that whenever she has kept secrets from her mother, something bad has always happened to her -- including the shambles that her life is in now and her no-good husband (Speak for yourself and your daughter, woman! 😡) Mauli protests, saying that there is no need to drag Taposh into this, because he doesn't even know about it. Shumona blames this on his interest in andolans and samaj seva. Mauli replies that she herself has kept this a secret from him because she and Taposh had jointly decided to have kids so soon, and Shumona guesses that she might just be thinking of aborting the child. She then tells her that Taposh will have to prove himself as a father, and that she will decide what happens with this marriage from now on. Taani is shocked, and decides that she should speak to Taposh and convince him.

Scene opens to Jonaki checking out jewellery in her room as usual, and finding the keys to the tijori. She fits it into the waist of her sari, and looks at herself in the mirror, telling herself that the keys fit only her waist, and soon that entire tijori will her hers' (yes, yes, CVs, we know! You don't have to keep giving us these bakwas scenes to tell us what we already know 😕)

TaAnu and RoNaki are at their reception, receiving congratulations from the guests. Taani, as usual, is worry about Taposh coming on time to the reception. Taposh enters and Robi smiles to himself, speculating on how he's now going to destroy TapLi and make them realise how it feels to have something belonging to them taken away from them (Again, yes, we know CVs, stop constantly stating the obvious! Just one satisfied smile would have done the job!😡 ) Taposh takes Mauli aside and asks her what has happened.

The police arrive. Taani in the meantime sees TapLi and tells herself that she just wants their problems to be solves, and nothing else (That's the entire flaming problem!! That's all you want?? You treat your husband like dirt, don't even properly talk to him or listen to him anymore, take out all your frustration on him -- so now it's just you and your mahaanata and Onu doesn't even exist? Seriously, I'm waiting for the epi when she'll bend over backwards apologizing for misunderstanding him the way she did!) Everyone is shocked seeing the police, but they assure Shekhar that they've simply dropped by for a security check. Shekhar smiles and allows them to have something to eat as well. Robi looks on, furious.

Robi drags one of the officers inside asking him why Taposh hasn't been arrested yet. In the meantime Taposh asks Mauli what has happened to her. What follows are cutscenes between the Tapli/Taani conversation and the police's explanation of how Taposh was saved, the summary of which is this: As planned, Taposh was at dharna and the terrorists were confirmed to be arriving as well, and Taposh was told by one of the villagers that someone was being beaten. Just as he was about to run to the rescue however, he got a call, which was from Taani, and she tells him that he has to choose between his samaj seva, and the life of his family. Robi doesn't know about Taani calling Taposh, however, and wonders how Taposh ended up not staying back this time. Taposh rushes to the house to see Mauli, and Taani attempts to convince Mauli to open up and tell him the truth, because she knows at present what the truth is. Taposh looks at Mauli, confused, and Mauli tenses.
