Happy days are here again, both in the serial and at the forums, well -- right until the next villain starts a chaal...Recap of Yesterday's EpisodeOnu is angry with Taani for not listening to him and almost getting married to Riteish. Riteish's lawyer tells him that his chances of getting out are numbered, it's literally impossible to do so. Taani tries to manaofy Onu, but in turn gets angry when Onu knocks over a bowl of payesh that she made specifically to manaofy him. It's now Onu's turn, and he tries, God bless the poor chap πShort Update1. Onu resorts to sit-ups, and on his second sit-up Taani laughs and tells him that acting angry was her way of manaofying him.2. Neelu has called Shumona and her family over, to announce that TaAnu are getting married on the same day.3. Nupur is about to leave the house when Laboni convinces her to stay for the wedding.4. Laboni and Neelu want to take Taani shopping but Onu wants to take her on a date. Taani settles for going out with Onu after shopping is done.5. Laboni gives Taposh a tongue-lashingDetailed UpdatePart IThe episode starts with Onu entering Taani's room. Her back is shown to us (and so is her hair, which must I add is long and lustrous enough to turn half of us green with envy!) we can hear her sniffle slightly. Onu apologizes to her ("Agli baar nazar hone se pehle main tujhe permission le loonga" π) and tells her that he's not exactly very good at manaofying...from the time they were kids it was always Taani who would manaofy and Onu who would be angry, how can he handle such a character change? (π€£) She doesn't respond. He tells, look why don't you teach me how to manaofy. When she doesn't resond to that even, he resorts to sit-ups. By his second sit-up, Taani turns around, laughing. Onu, surprised, says you mean you weren't crying? Taani replies that when he continued to get angry she took out her secret weapon, she would act angry and get him to apologize to her! Onu then pulls her into a hug (π³ Haila...I'm not sure why but I LOVED this hug...I couldn't stop myself from watching that bit again and again! It wasn't as passionate as the hug at Taani's wedding or anything but it was sooo natural and soo...indescribable is the only word I can think of it!) Onu then tells Taani that they should get out of her room otherwise their mothers will start thinking that something ulta-seedha is happening...Onu and Taani walk to the Banerjee living room hand-in-hand, where Neelu and Laboni are making sweets. Onu tells Laboni that he has convinced Taani, and Laboni says, what's so new about this? You two have been doing this since you were born! Neelu adds that they're so sick and tired of having the both of them run around each other arguing that she has taught up something. The scene shifts to the Ganguly house, where Shekhar is sitting alone. Shumona, her husband, Mauli and Jonaki enter the house looking apprehensive. Jonaki's father asks Shekhar whether there is anything wrong with the shagun they have sent. Shekhar replies that in fact they have sent probably too much, but asks them why they should be so worried. Shumona replies that Neelu had rung them up and asked them to come over to the house shortly after the shagun had been sent, so they thought there was probably an issue with the shagun. Neelu enters at that point and tells her that she has asked them to come over so that she can make an announcement -- she is planning to get TaAnu married on the same day as RoNaki. Onu steps forward and begins to protest, and Neelu replies, no way, that time I agreed not to have you two married because the haalaat itself was wrong, but now we are going to get you two married in two days. Onu tells Neelu that his problem is that the wedding is in two days, and not today. Everyone laughs, including Nupur who is upstairs listening to all this. Then, of course, Nupur remembers how Riteish had asked her once about whether she would ever be able to forget Onu and let him be with Taani. Feeling awkward, Nupur leaves the corridor, unseen.Everyone sits down to decide how to get things rolling for the weddings. Laboni promises to make sweets from her own hands for TaAnu's wedding, and TaAnu in the meanwhile, are lost in their nok-jhok (TL title song in the bg! π) Scene then shifts to Nupur packing her bags, crying. Laboni sees this, and asks Nupur whether she is planning to run away. Nupur replies that she is only attempting to make things better for everyone, because if she stays back her buri nazar might fall on TaAnu, which she doesn't want. Laboni tells her that Nupur is the reason TaAnu are together, and therefore nothing will happen to them because of her. Laboni adds that if Nupur runs away now, she will never forget Onu, and she will live a half-life. Nupur finally agrees to stay back, and hugs Laboni (Please creatives, keep the woman positive!)Part IITaani is in the kitchen preparing food, when Onu gets into the kitchen by way of the window and hugs her from behind. He jokes that they should get married fast otherwise Taani just might say yes to Riteish again. Taani tenses, and Onu apologizes for saying something so stupid and begs her not to be angry with him. Taani replies that she's not angry, but those memories of being on the mandap with Riteish are painful, and she describes to him how she felt on the mandap, and how afraid she was. Onu tells her not to worry, because all their bad days are over (Onu...Onu...you should know better than to say that...a BT hero can never be sure when his good days are over, most of the time they end the moment they begin! π) and that they will now be together for life. The scene shifts to all the women of the Ganguly and Banerjee parivaars, together with Shumona and her daughters, discussing what they're going to do for the two weddings. Neelu suggests that they go shopping together, and Laboni is not entirely sure of that, considering that they will be in-laws. Neelu insists saying that they are friends first and in-laws after, and as friends they can always do their shopping together. Shumona then asks for permisson from Neelu to leave for preparing her own house for the wedding, and before they do so, Neelu praises Jonaki for the happiness she is bringing to the household (EPIC eyeroll! π€)Afterwards Onu and Taani join in. Neelu and Laboni ask Taani to come with them for shopping. The women also discuss where, and Laboni, remembering how people had insulted the gift she had brought for Ananya's wedding, worries about her budget (I really like that the new CVs don't forget the bachcha track and the essence of it...lovely job bringing in that scene!) Onurag tells them that she can't come with them because they're going out, but the mothers say that that cannot be done. Onu then sends a message on Taani's phone, and the phone conversation that ensues goes something like this.Onu: I want to meet you tomorrow.Taani: No.Onu: Cancel your plan!Taani: No. (Entire phone convo with TL title song in the bg!)Taani then turns to Laboni and Neelu and ask them when they will finish shopping, and they tell her it will be over by 6. Taani tells them she'll need to meet a friend, and therefore needs to be done shopping by then. Laboni agrees. Taani gives Onu a conspirational look.Part IIIThe scene opens to Taposh discovering (finally!) what has been happening in the household since his last stint at samaj seva. He is angry about Riteish blackmailing Taani, but is happy on hearing that Taani is finally getting married from this household. Taposh promises to take part in the wedding, and then asks Laboni where Mauli is. She tells him that Mauli has gone to her maika to help with Jonaki's wedding, and is handling her responsibilities all alone. She tells him that it is his responsibility as the damaad of that house to help them, but Taposh cuts her off saying that he doesn't like attending functions. Laboni then scolds him for not caring much about Mauli and how she handles things without him, and he hardly thinks about her. She tells him that marriage doesn't mean you stay happy, it means you support each other as well in whatever condition. She adds that if he doesn't start thinking about these things now, his relationship with Mauli won't last v long.No Precap.Episode Rating: 9.5/10.A very nice epi, and even though we don't have a precap we still have the TaAnu date to look forward to! The new CVs seem keen on bringing the essence of the show back, and so far they are doing a good job of this...I hope they don't start adding too many twists and turns! Surprisingly, though not many liked the Laboni-Nupur scene I quite liked it -- and I hope they keep Nupur that way, like they did with Subodh, I think that sort of testifies to the strength of TaAnu's love that people who originally did not want the match to happen eventually saw them as soulmates, and that fits in with the entire theme.
