Chapter 3
Present Day
Robindo traced the legal documents he held in his hand. There was no turning back now and this was what he was going to do. He didn't give a damn about what Shekhar would do to him. All that mattered now was his Anurag Dada's happiness and he made sure that was what he got. Climbing down the stairs, Nilanjana pulled him to a stop questioning at the documents he was holding.
"Robindo? What is this?" she asked curiously as she had seen the file very often. She reached out, but he drew the file away shaking his head in disapprove. "Is it one of your father's file? I hope it's something that won't put you in trouble, Robindo." said Nilanjana concernedly as he shot her a smile.
"No Ma. I had to build loads of courage to do this," he whispered closing his eyes and taking a deep breathe. "I'm bailing him out, Ma. No more of this. You prepare for his welcoming," replied Robindo whisking past her unable to say more, the lump in his throat making it entirely difficult. While the joys of Nilanjana didn't go unnoticed, an evil victorious smile appeared from behind the pillar considering himself lucky he had heard the words.
"Now won't Baba like to hear about this," anticipated Ritesh, honoured at the stupid yet unbelievable action of the young son. Before Nilanjana had came running in the direction of the kitchen, his smell cologne was the only thing left there with the solitary married woman.

"Here are the documents. Everything is done and there is no need for another court hearing session," announced Robindo handing the file to the plump inspector who shot him a smirking look. "Can I take my Dada away now?"
"Very desperate," thought the plump inspector shutting the file. Turning to the drowsy inspector on his right, he ordered Anurag to be released. It was the longest time for Robindo, waiting there in desperation not wanting to see the state of his brother. Pale, crestfallen and weak; exactly how he had assumed and his eyes lowered in shame.
"Dada!" he rejoiced hugging him with difficulty in the tight blazer he wore but that was the least concern in his mind. The hug was short and light but still he knew it would annoy his brother. "Everything will be fine. Let's go."
"Robindo, why did you go against Baba's decision?" he asked shortly not allowing himself to be dragged anywhere unwelcoming. "You know that Baba will not like it. And I have to receive what I deserve." he said expressionless shocking Robindo.
"No! You didn't kill Taani Bodi! You are coming back," said Robindo determined dragging him out of the police station. He wasn't here to turn back now, it was too late and he was ready for what was coming.

"How dare he? What is his status!?" cried Shekhar erupting from his rocking chair and breathing heavily as if to soothe the anger. He wasn't going to take this from his son, he wasn't a father who would go easy on this. He wasn't...
"Baba, I overheard," said Ritesh lowering his brows in worry and showing the stress lines on his forehead. This was a daily routine now and he was an expert in fooling the entire family. "But now that Anurag is coming, we should -"
"I will not have a criminal in this house! I will not!" yelled Shekhar bringing an end to the conversation and storming out the room leaving a grinning Ritesh. This was exactly how he wanted it, Anurag and Robindo out of the business and he to enjoy and run the whole Ganguli Empire his way...
