ritesh is a criminal ,taanis father got to know this raaz of ritesh but ritesh proved taanis father wrong due to which shekhar & taanis father relations strained & out of shock taanis father died when shekhar showed his unhappiness at anurag-taanis marriage
shkehar sent onu to US as he wanted to separate anurag from taanis family all becaz of the misunderstandings created by ritesh
