A moment of carelessness
Like a wisp of hair blowing across your face
Running like our life depends on it
Despite the fact that it's not a race
Under the moonlight
Admist the bright auras of festival and joy
We were not fiance and fiancee anymore
We were simply just a teenage girl and a teenage boy
That age when being caught by the teacher is the worst thing ever
That age when true love, responsibility, nothing is serious-never!
And in this moment of fun
We made a slip; a mistake
It's amazing how the smallest gesture
Can the entire world shake
Taani's POV
The wind fiddled with my saree
It blowed away, like the love I once had in my heart
He clutched it tighly and wrapped it safely around my shoulders
And my soul couldn't help but give a jumpstart
Feeling like the rush of blood to my cheeks
Would leave my entire body feeling pale
I ran away from there as fast as I could
My heart thudding, no longer stale
The freshness of hope invigorated it
Till I felt that my joy would kill me
I opened the window and let the tell-tale wind caress me
Perhaps that's what it wanted to see...
Anu's POV
I automatically reached out
And made sure she was protected
I looked for a sign of the smile
Only awkwardness was detected
She ran away out of shame
Leaving me feeling helpless and lame
To pick up the photo and refresh memories long gone
In a moment of foolishness what have I done?
She thinks I don't love her and I think the same
And yet in front of her my heart grows tame
She wants to break this, she wants it over
But I just want it to get closer....
